I don't wanna stereotype criminals as dumb people, but it really amazes me that the POI can outsmart LE in two cases of missing women - if he is guilty.

I mean, he was dumb enough to be caught in a lot of other cases.

Sheriff Tony Cameron says they've submitted Kamrie Mitchell's DNA to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. This after a body was found near the Brunswick area. It could take months to find out if there's a match.

Cameron says, so much time has passed; the case is now considered a cold case. Twelve days after Kamrie went missing Andrelo Witcher was charged and convicted, but only for home invasion and armed burglary. He's serving five years in prison for those crimes.

Witcher is no stranger to the law, listed on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's website as a sex offender with convictions dating back to 2003. Witcher denies any involvement in the disappearance of Mitchell. A closer look into Witcher's past shows another woman went missing in 2007. Witcher's ex-girlfriend Heather MacCrossen disappeared and has yet to be found...

Cold Case Detective Kevin Allen out of Alachua County is currently looking at Mitchell's case as well because he's noticed some similarities between her case and Witcher's ex-girlfriend Heather MacCrossen's cold case that leads him to believe Witcher may be involved in multiple cases and disappearances.

Sad how some cases never really get much interest or media. I don't remember reading about Kamrie before today, somehow, yet I am on WS every day. She seems to have gotten lost in the sheer number of cases, maybe because there has been a suspect all along? Anyway...jmo.

Three years and one month later, Stefanie Warden is still putting up fliers for her missing daughter along the street where Kamrie's car was found. The last bit of evidence investigators have.

"We're just stuck in a spot of unknown, nobody knows," Warden explains. If they know something they're not talking, we have nothing to go off of."

After three years, Sheriff Cameron is set on finding out what happened to 27-year-old Kamrie Mitchell on that August morning in 2012.

"She left in her car and she hasn't been seen since."

According to Cameron, Mitchell was last seen after getting into an argument with 33-year-old Andrelo Witcher at her father's home. Investigators say Witcher left and Mitchell remained at home with her father.

Suwannee County sheriff’s deputies are continuing the investigation into the cold-case disappearance of Kamrie Mitchell, who went missing from her Wellborn, Florida, home in 2012 at the age of 23.

Sheriff Tony Cameron said one man, Andrelo Witcher, is behind Mitchell’s disappearance. According to the Florida Department of Corrections website, he’s scheduled to be released this fall.

Witcher “has a lot of close ties to the case,” Cameron said.

MCALPIN, Fla. (WTXL) - A search is underway after human remains were discovered in McAlpin, Suwannee County.

The Suwanee County sheriffs office got a call at 6 on Sunday after a resident found what she thought was a human skull just outside her property.

Sheriff St. John says they are investigating whether these remains are connected to Kamrie Mitchell. Mitchell went missing in 2012.

“From where were at and where her car was found at was very close proximity, probably about five or 6 miles away," said Sheriff St. John. "So naturally that’s going to be our focus.”

The sheriff's office is sending the bones to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tuesday morning so start testing for DNA.

The resident who found the skull bought the house three months ago and is not a suspect in this case.

Sheriff St John says, they have yet to get in contact with the former homeowner. He says, there’s a possibility the remains belong to the former owner, who lived alone.

At this time, deputies are following leads as they wait for the autopsy results.

Deputies search for leads after discovery of human remains in Suwannee County

Just wanted to post an update to that story.

The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office said the District Two Medical Examiner’s Office along with the C.A. Pound Human Identification Laboratory at the University of Florida have identified the human remains found on June 24, 2018 at a home in the 19200 block of 77th Road as 61-year-old Deborah Pittman.

Suwannee County Sheriff's Office tries new tactic in solving missing person case​

Sunday, Sheriff St. John, the family of Kamrie Mitchell, Jason Futch and others gathered to renew the search effort. The group joined together on 184th Street in Suwannee County to place a sign seeking the community’s help in answering questions for Kamrie’s family and for law enforcement working her case.

Numerous leads and information have been followed up on over the years, however law enforcement and Kamrie’s family still do not have the answers they would like to have.

If Witcher was so bold as to threaten his girlfriend Heather & her family, he probably did the same thing with Kamrie & her family. He wants to brag and he wants an audience.

I feel certain someone in their social circle heard threats. He probably bragged to his friends. They need to come forward and tell LE. Particularly because Witcher is locked up for awhile. Less repercussions.
