FL FL - Kerry Jones, 46, Jacksonville, 5 Feb 2016

  • #41
Police have released a timeline of events based on the report filed by Jones' boyfriend, Jackie "Nick" Kelly.

Jones and Kelly had a fight at their home on Mandarain Road Saturday, Feb. 6. Kelly says he was hit by Jones and became unconscious. When he woke up the next morning, Jones was gone. Kelly is the last person to see Jones.

The next day, Jones' 1996 Toyota Avalon was seen at the Bealls Shopping Center parking lot on San Jose Blvd. Five minutes later, someone was seen riding a bicycle away from the car. Police still don't know whether the bicyclist was involved in the incident.

Why did the family come take her belongings and her car?? What if she came back looking for the car or something? So odd. And this Action Jax news team is annoying with their 3000 claims of being FIRST and ONLY lol

Good Lord I cannot believe the family was permitted to take the car - and honestly, the car looked like it wouldn't get back to Alabama without breaking down. I can't understand why the family came and took it.

Yeah, I can't imagine why the LE would allow the car to be taken. They just started processing Kelly's apt YESTERDAY? 2 weeks later? Seems (IMO) that once Jones got some media attention on her disappearance, THEN the LE started investigating, and searching. Disturbing.

I hope they don't drop the ball on this one. I was surprised that they released her car so soon too.

Pell City woman missing after moving to Florida with boyfriend
“My mom if you’re still out there, please give me a call or call somebody to let them know you’re alright or we can come and get you,” said Aaron Jones, the son of missing woman Kerry Jones.

A desperate plea by the Jones after his mother recently moved to Florida with her boyfriend and has been missing for two weeks.

46-year-old Kerry Jones was last seen at her home in Jacksonville, Florida. There’s been no trace of her ever since.

“I just want answers to what happened, where she’s at, I just want relief because it’s been very hard on my family, and she’s got three grand-kids,” said Jones.

Friday, February 5th was the last time Aaron Jones heard from his mother Kerry.

“Monday, I tried to call again and later on that night, her boyfriend called me and told me my mom’s been missing since Sunday,” he said.

Something didn’t add up, so Aaron called his mother’s employer at Bealls Department Store in Jacksonville.

“They told me that she hasn’t been here, she was supposed to come in Friday and never did and her car’s been in the parking lot since Friday,” Jones explained.

I wonder if the LE are waiting for Kelly to get out of the hospital, for
interview/poly? IMO, it seems pretty obvious.

Update.

police have seized property belonging to Jones'*boyfriend.

Store surveillance video obtained by police shows Jones leaving work in the car on Feb. 7, at 2:37 p.m. The car was seen returning to the shopping center parking lot roughly four hours later, at which time police say an unidentified person rode away from the area on a bicycle.

Jones' son Aaron*told WJAX-TV that Kelly is currently in a psych ward. He also said investigators have told him he needs to "prepare myself for the worst."

After Florida Mom Goes Missing, Police Seize Her Boyfriend's Vehicle
Kerry Jones moved to Florida after she met Nick Kelly online. She vanished without a trace two weeks ago.

As the hunt unfolds for Kerry Jones, a Florida woman who disappeared from her home earlier this month after an alleged domestic dispute, police have seized property belonging to Jones' boyfriend.

Jackie "Nick" Kelly's home in Mandarin, Florida, is the last place police say Jones, 46, was seen prior to her disappearance. Police visited the home Friday night to search for clues and drove away with Kelly's truck, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Contacted by The Huffington Post on Monday, Christian Hancock, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, did not elaborate on the seizure and said the application for the search warrant is not being released at this time.

"We seized the vehicle, but what they found in it I couldn’t tell you [because] it's an ongoing investigation," Hancock said.

"Kerry was very intoxicated that night. At some point she hit me in the head with a very heavy coffee cup and knocked me out," the Facebook post reads. "When I regained consciousness the next morning, I was laying in a big puddle of blood from a gash to my head. I realized that Kerry was gone. I thought at the time that she might think she had killed me, or at least seriously injured me, and she left and was hiding out because she was worried."

Police on Monday released a domestic battery report to HuffPost that Kelly filed against Jones on Feb. 16. Kelly, who officers noted had "apparently been drinking heavily," acknowledged he did not initially disclose the alleged assault to the investigating officer when he reported Jones missing. The copy of the report is otherwise heavily redacted.

So, it was LE who approached HIM about filing a domestic violence dispute. That explains why he did so while drunk. I was wondering why he would do something so stupid and not wait till he sobered up. But them again intoxicated people don't make the greatest decisions.
Also very telling to me that Kelly said Kerry was the intoxicated person on the night of the assult but it was her who told a family member that she was considering leaving because HE drank too much. And he was drunk when the cops came on the 16th to file a report. I personally think he was the one with the drinking problem, not her. And if it is true that she hit him with a mug I think it was in self defense.
Makes me wonder if LE wanted that domestic violence claim on an official report because they knew they may need to use it against him later in court. All JMO

I'd often thought that throwing a bike in the car, staging it in a lot and then riding off on the bike was a possible theory. Not hard to do.
