Saddened to see not much activity here which usually means not much to discuss. Anything besides the family searching going on locally? What about TM, just going on about his life? What's LE saying, if anything?

Praying for Lacey's family, friends and especially her girls!!!!

I'm haven't seen anything, and it is sad. There could be stuff going on behind the scenes though.

Regarding TM, Lacey's family did make the allegation that he is a meth "cook" so who knows, maybe he'll wind up behind bars soon.

Creepy, creepy pic.

Looking at the ground, it doesn't look like it is in a forrested part of the forest. And then it looks like there are other items surrounding it, is that a cooler off to the left?

Lake sheriff's investigators continued search for missing mom

February 7, 2012

ALTOONA &#8212; It's been more than a month since a 25-year-old Lady Lake mom disappeared after she was last seen in the Ocala National Forest. Last week, deputy sheriffs hit the streets in the continuing search for Lacy Marie Buenfil, who went missing Dec. 27, by passing out fliers and asking for tips from motorists at State Road 19 and County Road 445. "It actually generated some leads," sheriff's Lt. John Herrell said. "Unfortunately, they really didn't seem to offer information on her whereabouts."

Still working on the media update, I'm going through and checking to make sure I have everything, so its taking longer than I anticipated, Tori Stafford's trial is close at hand, and just life business has left me kinda having only enough time to read. But I'm working at it.

That is awesome about Cyndee! I hope she does do WSR, LB's family really made an impression on me when they were on JVM.

Regarding questions, when I get done with the media update I'll go through the thread and make a list if you don't mind taking a look at them and changing them as you see fit. Would that work?

Okay, here's what I have for questions....


The wallet. Was it found somewhere by the person that gave it to Nikki the volunteer? If so where was that?

And then just maybe a run down of the contents of her purse, what was with her, in the truck on the day that she disappeared because there was some confusion about that after the JVM show. I think that this has been sorted out on the thread, what do you think?

Has TLM been arrested for anything since Lacey’s disappearance? I know that nothing has been reported about that, but it seems like he had quite the criminal prior to Lacey’s disappearance.

I liked this question you asked: “Why would McDowell tell LE they went to The Scrubs to do drugs and they got stuck in the sand. Why not just say they were trail riding... strange, no?” And is TLM still sticking with his story?

And then this observation you made: “Holidays are apparently peak times, folks fill up the campgrounds and ride the trails. Tues Dec 27 at 3pm, I imagine the park was full of folks on vacation.” It would be nice to know what was going on where they were in the forest. Was it an area where there were a lot of campers, a trail head ect?

You asked about cell phone pings, I think that would be a good question. Do they know if that was looked into?

Has it been determined if the bones they found were animal or human?

Anything else they can tell us about what’s going on with the searches. We know that this is such a horrible thing for them to be going through right now, but I really admire the families that keep pushing forward and do whatever they can to help find their missing loved one.

It was reported a couple of weeks ago (2.7) that the tips that LE received after they passed out flyers weren’t leading them to information about where Lacey might be. Do they know if LE is still receiving tips? Do they feel better about how LE is handling Lacey’s disappearance?
