MIRAMAR, FLA. (WSVN) - Police seek the public’s help in their search for a young man who went missing in Miramar.

According to Miramar Police, 18-year-old Linnon Latham was last seen along Southwest 55th Street on Tuesday.

Detectives call his disappearance suspicious.

Latham was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, Adidas joggers and Gucci sandals.

Officials urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Miramar Police at 954-602-4000.
 
MIRAMAR, Fla. – Miramar police are searching for a missing 18-year-old man who has been reported missing.

According to authorities, Linnon Latham was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, near Vizcaya Park, located on the 14200 block of Southwest 55th Street.

Detectives said Latham was wearing a white t-shirt, red Adidas joggers and Gucci slides.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911.

Authorities said Wednesday they believe Latham’s disappearance is “suspicious” and are concerned for his safety/well-being.

 
Police searched for 18-year-old Linnon Latham in a Vizcaya community lake on Thursday. At 2 p.m., police and Latham’s loved ones will speak at a press conference at the Miramar Police Department headquarters.

Miramar Police Department officers gathered at the lake inside the gated community to search for the missing teen as detectives had reason to believe his disappearance was suspicious and were concerned for his safety.

The police department is also being assisted by federal agencies to help search for Latham
 
I would think a gated community would have cameras in some of the communal areas such as a clubhouse, pool, park, playground, entrance/exit gates, etc. Possibly some home cameras too. I would expect them to have an idea what direction he traveled or maybe who he was with, if anyone.

The Miramar Police Department confirmed that the search for 18-year-old Linnon “LJ” Latham came to a heartbreaking end on Thursday evening after, officials said, his body was found in a lake in the Vizcaya community.

The cause of Latham’s death remains unknown, but his body will be examined by the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office in order to determine the cause.

Although there is no suspicion of foul play at present time, investigations into the incident are ongoing.

In a statement, the Miramar Police Department extended their sympathies and assured the public that they are working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding Latham’s death.
