I can't find the link yet. I am still looking. I recall RE's mother Wanda giving examples of how "good" of a father Ruben was and described meeting Lonzie once. I could swear she states that she advised Ruben to take Lonzie to the doctor because she didn't know what the problem was. And based on earlier links Wanda only met Lonzie once and had not met Lonna. Child neglect for July 23 afternoon, Lonna was told about a bruise on Lonzie's head, Lonzie had fluid coming from ears, was lethargic........Lonna went to work and left him with ruben. Drugs kept in same room where children lived, Lonzie frequently taken with Ruben and Lonna during drug deals

One of the reporters asked if she lied to cover up re: Lonzie or if she lied about not knowing Ruben because they weren't supposed to live together. Hackney basically said he didn't know why she was lying.

I had a ruptured ear drum from an ear infection as a teenager - there was definitely discharge and I felt very sick. But, I didn't have a bruise on the back of my head like Lonzie did.

It's possible he had an ear infection AND was hurt by a blow to the head.

JMO with what we know now.

Or it could of been something like this?

I can't say I'm shocked that LL was arrested.

I'm totally heartbroken over knowing that Lonzie had a bruise on his head and yellow fluids seeping from his ears. I read that and broke down in tears.

I haven't got to watch the presser yet because my internet is giving me all kinds of heck today, just my luck.

yeah, I remember that too - talking about a bruise. She or his dad mentioned that he had looked after 15 or 20 kids and showed pictures of WRE holding a baby or something like that. hmmm. I'm home sick so I might go through my posts and see what I can find because I know I commented on that one.

I think it's that fussiness - plus the vomiting - that kicked Ebron over the edge and he took out his frustrations on the boy. Remember, Ebron was served papers that very day, which had to tick him off. Plus, he and Lonna argued over the boy's injuries and illness, and then Lonna left the boy with Ebron to deal with. I think Lonzie was sick with an infection that Ebron's mom noticed earlier in the week, and that Ebron hit the poor boy, more than once, in the head. Total speculation, jmo, could be wrong.

OK so Lonzie had bruising on his body in late June and he was brought to a doctor by another family member? Ebron said the 5 year old pushed him. Sure she did, Ruben. This timing coincides a bit with how he allegedly raped his ex in the apartment on July 1st.

i think whoever saw him at 1-2 talked to police.... sister? friend? is the one who pointed out the injury, then LL confronted RE. the police probably followed up w the room mate who did not volunteer the info but did confirm when asked. that is my theory.

Hackney referenced "these people" when refering to the circle of people LL & EB hang with. Implied a certain type of people with whom they associated.

Ebron supposedly blamed the 5 yr old for bruises back in June when a family member took Lonzie to the doc for suspicious bruises.
ETA: I say supposedly because Lonna said it.
I look at that picture of Lonzie with the cowboy boots and the bruise and wonder when it was taken and where the bruise came from.

Question: Can anyone clarify if Chief Hackney confirmed that Lonna has invoked her right to remain silent?
I've listened to that part of the JSO update several times and I can't make out the Reporter's question, just Hackney's answer.
