The thing is LL has her kind of freedom for now, but she faces a couple of very serious charges. The child neglect charge for a start could see her get a 15 year prison sentence, if it classified as a second degree felony, and lose any access to her other children. She might be doing a "happy dance" straight back to jail after the sentencing phase, but we will have to wait and see. She also has three other drug charges she has yet to face from before Lonzie went missing. Her and RE both have the same charges except Ebron has an additional neglect charge and now his planning to break out of jail charges.
I think LL's upcoming hearing is Sept. 9th, and not sure now about RE's next hearing.
So we wait to see what the next legal move will be.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The chief suspect in the disappearance of Lonzie Barton will appear in front of a judge for a Nebbia hearing Monday morning, according to court documents.

William "Ruben" Ebron, 32, is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m.

The State Attorney's Office requested a Nebbia hearing from the court to ensure that any money used to post bond is obtained legally by Ebron. They say he admitted to dealing drugs and admitted to having "no legitimate employment," for quite some time. For those reasons, they are asking for proof.

If what I read is correct, there is no bond on the new charges, but on the charges for little Lonzie there is a bond amount. Without a hearing, those bond amount stay in place.

Why would he pay bond for some charges when he has others denied bond? WHERE is that money coming from? I can only think his parents.

Bond revoked for Ruben Ebron

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -
A judge revoked bond Monday morning for the man who is considered the prime suspect in the disappearance of 21-month-old Lonzie Barton

The move comes the week after William Ruben Ebron Jr. was charged was attempted attempted escape from jail, possession of a handcuff key, possession of contraband and criminal conspiracy.

Ebron, 32, has been held on $100,000 since May 24, the day he reported the toddler missing, on two counts of child neglect and one count of lying to police.

The state attorney said Ebron was previously ordered not to have contact with Lonna Barton and her children, but authorities have numerous audio recordings of his contacts with her

The state attorney also wants Ebron to have phone or email contact only with his attorney since he allegedly violated previous order. A special hearing was set for 2 p.m. Tuesday to decide future of his communication privileges.

They need to throw in an intimidating a witness charge on him, on top of all the other charges (if that is why she dropped her case).This guy truly thinks he is above the law. Glad he will remain right where he needs to be.

Well we know for sure RE wasn't meant to have any contact with LL, but LL was allowed to visit him in jail, so maybe that court order was lifted? Apart from her perhaps the ex had a restraining order on him?

I'm sure that's exactly why WRE was harassing her (JR) or intimidating her. To get the charges she brought against him dropped.
