That's what she said to the cop. What I am referring to was when she was younger, and it's just ironic that's all, I will find it and then repost it. I deleted it for now until I find the source. It had the same meaning as " what you don't know can't hurt you"
All the info that has come out about this case, I can't imagine how hard it must be for lawyers that have terabytes of info they have to keep track of.

You’re right… it was like the header to her livejournal. Let me try and find that

Sorry, Forest. I didn't mean literally. I just meant, IMO, that was his role, and that's the real reason Jenn kept him around. They did not have an intimate relationship anymore; they were companions. JS had mental health concerns, probably had a hard time on her own, and didn't seem to ask her family for a lot of help ( friction?) I don't know that Jenn told Stephan that, it's just my opinion that she used him for her benefit and may have turned a blind eye to everything else. Her needs came before anything else.
IDK, I just don't believe there was any love lost there.
So you're right, it may have started as a relationship, but then sizzled out.
** deleted that info about her old social media, if I find it, I will repost it.
Thank you for explaining that's your interpretation of what JS wanted him around for. I thought I had somehow missed an entire piece of information in the story!

I get angry every day when I see that JS has not been arrested.

Yeah, knowing what we know now about this case, some of those lyrics really fit with how JS seems to have lived with the whole "situation", imo. Here's the 1st couple verses, which I'm sure everyone has heard, but I hear them differently now with JS/MS/SS in mind... very sad. Especially like "living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see"... "but it all works out, it doesn't matter much to me"... "nothing is real, and nothing to get hung about"... "it's alright, that is, I think it's not too bad"... [but it turned out to be much worse than you could ever have thought!]

[Verse 1]
Living is easy with eyes closed
Misunderstanding all you see
It's getting hard to be someone, but it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me

[Chorus]
Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to
Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever

[Verse 2]
No one, I think, is in my tree
I mean, it must be high or low
That is, you can't, you know, tune in, but it's all right
That is, I think it's not too bad
... etc.
snipped from The Beatles – Strawberry Fields Forever

I just read one of the annotations someone made on this lyric on genius.com, and wow, does it ever fit JS, imo:

"Those who 'live with eyes closed' willfully misunderstand all they see. Choosing to ignore hard realities is what makes these individuals' lives so easy.

If you live life with your eyes closed, you won’t see anything. Consequently, you’ll misunderstand nothing. And if you never misunderstand anything, then you understand everything and life is easy….right?"

No, you never miss anything, and sometimes I forget to write IMO or it's so long-winded, that the IMO gets lost.
I think they used each other. (that's my snippy opinion, lol)

How ironic, she may have written that when she was 21, but it resonated enough for her to post about it.
That's why I say her needs trumped everyone else's. Acknowledging what was happening would mean ( or it should mean) she would have to do something about it. Ignorance is Bliss. Reminds me of this picture minus the " my dear"

I do not recall anything about her eyes being open and fixed. I'd like to think I'd remember a fact like that. She was slumped and hadn't moved from that position after observing her 3 times between 7:50am and 8:31am.

Pg 31 of 896:

I observed a male wearing a red shirt leaving the complex in a 2010 silver Lincoln MKZ through the rear gate at 0750 hours with a female wearing a green sweater in the front seat. This person appeared to be sitting upright with her head slumped over to her left side. At 0819 hours, I observed a male wearing a red shirt enter the complex through the front gate near N. Hoagland Boulevard in the silver Lincoln with someone in the front passenger scat wearing a green sweater and once again slumped over. At 0831 hours, the male wearing a red shirt left the complex in the silver Lincoln MKZ through the rear gate with a female in the front passenger completely slumped over to the left.

This is one aspect of the case that really disturbs me.

Apparently Maddie's corpse was driven through the gate three times. What was SS doing? I can see removing a body from a crime scene, but why bring it back? and then leave again? This is extremely disordered thinking at best.

I can to some extent attribute it to dumb criminal behavior, but this also seems to be extremely risky.

It's a big mystery why he returned to the complex. Did he get a leash? did he change her clothes? after he saw someone in the church parking lot wearing a green sweatshirt? He said it was for the clicker, but didn't security say he had a clicker?
This was a good video also. It is the first time it was disclosed that she was partially visible In the front seat of the car while he disposed of her backpack.

I don't see where it says "security says" he had it... it seems it's assumed by the way the report is written. Although... it could have been seen on the security camera taken at that gate. I'd think they'd have video recorded there too. But I doubt SS said "I had my clicker in my hand while talking to security"!!! lol

Stephan said they had time to kill since they were too early for school, so he returned home because he forgot his gate clicker for the complex. However, when Stephan arrived at the gate, he had his gate clicker in his hand while speaking with the security guard at Venetian Bay.

and more disturbing, Madeline is deceased in the vehicle in the apt complex while SS and JS sit around and 'hang out' while he accidentally wipes his phone out.

I know, that's what Im wondering? now I cant remember where I got that info from, but if he had a clicker why did he even need to stop for security?? plus there are photos of his old expired parking pass in the crime scene photos.

no kidding. My memory is starting to fade from Feb, and when you get new info and stories change.

Oh I just noticed you wrote the source, thanks for that, I knew I read it somewhere. You would think of the security guard noticed the clicker, he would have noticed maddi too.

Unless SS made sure he not only got out of the car to talk to security, but also use his body to block Security's view of the passenger seat. I know he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I'd think he'd at least do that. I think. lol Or am I giving him too much credit? :p

too much credit lol . who knows? I have a hard time seeing things from either one of their points of view . What sounds crazy to me or so obvious to me, they think is rocket science so...? They think they baffle people with their extra information/distraction way of story telling.
"So Maddi 86'd the idea of Mcdonalds, then we drove back and I asked if she was sure and she wasn't having it" that kind of stuff.

You would think!! Sounds like the security guard isn't super credible to me. After all, who is going to debunk what he says he saw? Certainly not SS... although the defense could argue how could he see a clicker and not a dead body?
