I too wondered if there was a "plot" twist coming up on Monday. It sure should be interesting! I need to get that on my calendar so I don't miss it!

1:30 pm est tomorrow, correct? I think I am on the same time, I will check to make sure.
I just hope I can hear the what is being said as I have tried to watch SS's hearings prior and always check out because I can't hear a party and one sided conversations are hard to follow!
Between this hearing, Idaho sentencing this week and the Delphi trial transcripts released I am going to have to really motivate myself to not fall behind on my household chores!

I do want JS to be charged and have to face trial .

As long as we are speculating, I would anticipate that JS would also pursue a plea deal, and a whole lot quicker than SS. Why would she do that? I think JS is one of those people who would look upon the deprivation of freedom and the rigid day be day structure of a jail sentence as beneficial. I believe she does not do well with the unpredictability, the arbitrariness of the real world.

I've thought the same about SS. He didn't thrive as an adult, didn't take on responsibilities or show ambition about anything, but passively drifted through life playing games and mooching off JS and his parents. He might actually prefer prison to real life.

An unexpected plea hearing has been scheduled for Monday in the case of Stephan Sterns, the Osceola County man who is also accused of killing Madeline Soto last year.

The plea deal would cover the sexual battery and possession of child charges plus the murder charge, which would be handled in a separate trial.

Sources say the plea would mean life in prison, as opposed to risking a death sentence if the case goes to trial.

Sources say the plea discussions have been underway for days, and that at least some relatives of Madeline Soto would be on board.

The state would also have to agree to not take the case to trial.

Maddie has been in my heart since the day she went "missing", and I've had to step away so many times due to the absolute ugliness and evil in this case. I remember when the arrest affidavit came out, and I posted it here but was afraid to due to the potential triggers. I believed from the beginning that JS was involved, and was shot down, but eventually undeniable evidence came out and we could finally discuss her. Why she is not in custody is beyond me.
I'm not happy. SS pleading out isn't why I'm not happy. I'm not happy because JS should have been up on the stand explaining WHY she allowed all of this to happen. It wasn't months, it was years. Years that this beautiful girl was treated like trash by her mother and a plaything by mother's boyfriend.
She should have been in cuffs long ago.
SS will be in prison and getting what he deserves, but JS gets away with her part in it.
If anything positive happens tomorrow, it will be that that nasty excuse of a mother be arrested.
I'll be watching the hearing and thinking of Maddie, picturing her dancing in a blue dress <3

Surely her lawyer would advise against this. She's got to be aware of just how hated she is, and making herself out a victim would only add fuel to that fire.

I think she's done it her whole life and has never seen a reason to change, so I think there's a very good chance she'll do it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. She's been underground for so long I'm thinking she'd be scared to show her face. And OMG at what the media frenzy would be. You'd think she'd have been crowned the Queen of England she'll have so many press cameras going off in her face. Not to mention they WILL follow her back wherever she's been hiding out, and then camp out there till the end of time. Or an arrest, whichever may come first.
