I was trying to remember the roommates names! LOL Like.. "Was there a Stephanie?'.

Maddie has been in my heart since the day she went "missing", and I've had to step away so many times due to the absolute ugliness and evil in this case. I remember when the arrest affidavit came out, and I posted it here but was afraid to due to the potential triggers. I believed from the beginning that JS was involved, and was shot down, but eventually undeniable evidence came out and we could finally discuss her. Why she is not in custody is beyond me.
I'm not happy. SS pleading out isn't why I'm not happy. I'm not happy because JS should have been up on the stand explaining WHY she allowed all of this to happen. It wasn't months, it was years. Years that this beautiful girl was treated like trash by her mother and a plaything by mother's boyfriend.
She should have been in cuffs long ago.
SS will be in prison and getting what he deserves, but JS gets away with her part in it.
If anything positive happens tomorrow, it will be that that nasty excuse of a mother be arrested.
I'll be watching the hearing and thinking of Maddie, picturing her dancing in a blue dress <3

I am reminded that SS's parents wondered where all the money Jen and SS where spending was from. They thought maybe photos were being sold online? And Jen had a tripod in her bedroom.

Did LE ever recover the hard drive SS took from his parent's home?

Jen's lack of concern over the SA was a big issue for me.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. She's been underground for so long I'm thinking she'd be scared to show her face. And OMG at what the media frenzy would be. You'd think she'd have been crowned the Queen of England she'll have so many press cameras going off in her face. Not to mention they WILL follow her back wherever she's been hiding out, and then camp out there till the end of time. Or an arrest, whichever may come first.

Does anyone remember the appointment Jen had on the morning she wanted to sleep in? I thought it was for some cosmetic procedure. Or bloodwork needed in advance? Don't know.

Jen was concerned for Jen. Maybe some concern for SS, which makes sense if he was bringing money into the household through whatever means. IMO, that money wasn't earned legally and his parents are correct.
During Kohberger's plea hearing, some facts came out from the prosecution, so I'm hoping that happens today, too. SS is a big coward, and he'll have to stand there and say "guilty" over and over again at some point, knowing how hated he is. He'll be a lot more expressive than BK, though. I expect tears and sobs.
I wonder if there will be an allocution? If so, will we finally know exactly what part Jen played in this?

I wonder if he will actually appear today? If memory serves correctly, hasn't he waived his right to appear and hidden behind his attorneys for all other appearances?

I struggle to think of a case/“man” that makes my skin crawl more than this one.

I can see why prosecutors might be amenable to a change of plea, sparing the jury from the salacious disgusting images that would be shown to prove his depravity.

IF he pleads no contest and no trial happens on this SA stuff then can any of that be used/mentioned in the murder trial? Does anyone think it may be harder to prove murder if the CSA is not allowed to be brought into he murder trial?

That is my only niggling worry about this change in plea. I want this man to be found guilty of this girl's murder. He treated her like straight garbage, as if she was an available receptacle for all his stunted manhood and then killed her and tossed on the side of the road like so much garbage the minute she no longer served his purposes. I want him to suffer the rest of his days and then be GONE.

Correct.

Sterns is expected to plead guilty in both the sex abuse and murder cases today.
However, there is a possibility that the judge could reject the plea, which would result in Sterns going on trial tomorrow for the sex abuse charges.

Note the word "could" (include her mother). It's gonna be a nailbiter once the trial starts to see if JS is in attendance! And if she is, it's gonna be a zoo afterwards when she tries to leave. JMO!

The judge will also hear from Madeline's family members, who could include her mother, father, or other relatives.

Soon after, she left for a blood draw at the doctor’s office, and she told the investigator she canceled a Botox appointment for later that day because she didn’t want to pay the $350 office fee.
