I was just thinking about some not-directly related background things here

We know that SS is 37 and that M was 13. Can anyone link me J-s age here?
I think I've seen it that she had a d.o.b in late 1980s, but I'm unsure if I remember correctly. I see she started at WD in 2004. I'm mostly just thinking about how old was she when she had M?

We have no actually reliable info about the relationship (unknown source claiming that SS claimed; SS claiming to strangers on Reddit), but possible conflict(s), especially in the last half a year or so do interest me, a they could provide a motive to kill M (revenge at J for ending it, anger at M for "not being under his control" any more, fear that M might tell others about the abuse now that he is not around, probably even more options) and I am also confused at "driving back to attend party" when AFAIK, he did not attend at least one of the parties but was, by the look of things, still "there"?

She could be innocent - the lie about seeing her daughter at 8am when Maddie was already deceased could be as simple as not wanting to look like a bad mom for not having paid more attention that morning. Or it could be something much worse.

She may not have directly murdered her daughter, but lying like this as you stated would mean she is guilty at minimum of lying to LE and interfering with the investigation. So, not innocent.

It could just be a different video call app (ie Zoom, WebEx, Teams) or lighting. Maybe she has the auto soft filter defaulted for work. Maybe it’s a lighting change too

The recording of the call JS made to law enforcement to report Madeline missing will also be very interesting, if they release it to the public. When it was clarified that JS called the police before 5pm and it took them 3 hours to respond and take a report, I thought LE was going to be rightfully crucified over that, because who takes 3 hours to respond to a hysterical mom with a missing child? But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if she was hysterical, and begged them to come quickly and find her daughter, or if she was more nonchalant and made it seem like maybe she had just gone to a friend's house and forgotten her phone? IMO, MOO, etc., etc.

*All* the phone records are going to be quite enlightening indeed, I believe.

Please correct me if I have any of this wrong, but do we know if she called anyone until eventually calling LE?

She drove around looking for MS.

She went back to the school, could not get access and e-mailed a teacher who "confirmed" (??--what does this mean by confirmed) MS was not in school all day.

Did she call SS? Did she call her mom? Did sshe reach out to any of MS friends or other family?

I'm wondering did she call the school?

So many questions.

This situation is so messed up. I am going to play devils advocate and say I can imagine a scenario where maybe the mom was just in raw shock, like even from the beginning. Maybe she was suspicious from the beginning, but Madeline could have been literally everything to her so she just didn't want to and could not believe what was actually transpiring.

She may have recognized from the get go that morning things were odd, where's Maddie? And he lies. She may have been concerned but brushed it off because she knows questioning him further will result in more gaslighting and lies. maybe nagging in the back of her mind something wasn't right but then when she went to pick her up from school it may have hit her like a ton of bricks and she is just unable to process what has actually happened. She can't believe it so she says "we dropped her off" wanting desperately for that to be true, then she must come to terms with the fact that it is not.

I think her behaviors can maybe be explained by deep shock and not believing what is happening right now, the sudden realization that this person she trusted, loved, let into her home with her daughter had been abusing for quite some time and ultimately murdered her. And in that case, how can you not feel so guilty because this guy wouldn't have been anywhere near Madeline if the mom wasn't dating him. If she is not involved, I feel so so so sad for this woman.

The Reddit exchange (link above) is so disturbing to me for many reasons. SS is clearly attempting to bully and gaslight the other person (who presents as an adult)...SS comes across very aggressively hostile and combative... Possibly he's even enjoying the confrontation. That's bothersome... But to think that this same bullying behavior was possibly happening in person.. With a child. I'm pained to think of the emotional trauma that it would cause. Likely the child would be 'walking on eggshells' day in and day out. MOO.

ITA. Also noting that most of the accusations he levels at the other poster are true of himself. Almost like it's his own inner dialogue. Personally, I see a lot of things about SS that scream psychopath to me. Particularly that he doesn't seem to care who he is as a human being or what he does with his life but does seem to try to control how OTHERS view him. I see him attempting to control narratives a lot, whether in those threads, or in the interviews. I see that no matter what is being discussed, it always comes back to him and stroking his own ego. While I don't completely discount the friends accounts of him on the GH vids, I keep my thoughts in check to remember that SS controlled those narratives as well, only telling the friends what he wanted them to believe. So grain of salt on those for me. We don't know how long SS and JS have been together, whether there were breaks in the relationship, or what the living arrangements might be, and I doubt either "Frank" or the other guy ever got a real story about it all either. I see a man who didn't let people into his life on any real level because then he lost control of the narrative and his ability to manipulate, gaslight, or other wise gain empathy or favors from others.
One thing that stands out to me very greatly is that we have yet to see ANY other woman come forward to say they went on a date with him or had a relationship with him etc. I find that odd and telling about him. edited by me for spelling/grammar.

If her daughter was everything to JS, why wasn't she at her birthday party? A large FAMILY party?

If her daughter was everything to her, why didn't she call the school to. gain access, to find out wth was going on? (and I will allow maybe she didand thishasnot been disclosed?) Why not go banging your way in? Why not call 911 right away? vs " Well maybe she took a walk?"

Why did she say she saw MS getting ready for school at 8am, and then also say the last time she saw her was the previous night at bedtime???

In my opinion, MS aunt seems more genuinely distraught in the video clips shared here.

Both JS. and SS were mostly "home" at the Soto apartment all day, except for the vape shop errand etc UNTIL SS is later seen around 2:30 that afternoon with the flat tire, etc in the same area where MS body was later found.

WHERE THE HELL WAS MS BODY between 8:19 and 2:30-ish pm?????

Okay wow. I believe I had already said upthread what I thought about the seeing Maddie at 8 lie. I was just making a comment about the possibility of it not being as sinister as we think, or the possibility of it absolutely being as sinister as we think.

I wonder about this, too.

One possibility is that he actually put her body where it was later discovered right away that morning after the fake school drop off and return to the home, and then went back later thinking he hadn't hidden her well enough and needed to move her. But then he got the flat tire and panicked and decided to leave her where she was.

I'm not sure I want to think too hard about the other possibilities.
