He's from Indiana. When did he get to LA?
He was probably there a while, car had plates from Indiana, does not seem like the type to worry about registration.

Copycat or no, he's as much a terrorist as the Orlando shooter. They are both what they are and how do we stop both? There have been over 170 murdered, and over 500 injured in acts of mass shootings since January and that is counting Orlando. The year is barely half over. We can't just focus on one specific type of terrorism and not the others. He is both a terrorist and a hater. Many already own those kind of weapons and this happened at 2am in the morning. Plenty enough time for him to know about it by Saturday afternoon.
For some reason it seems as if many would prefer to go for ISIS angle than homophobia, where the father clearly stated (which is astounding in and of itself considering that part of the worlds beleifs that gay people deserve to be tossed off rooftops).
IMO, the reality here is , this guy was very disrought seeing two men kissing, and two weeks later he ends up in a gay bar committed the biggest mass murder in this countries history.
IMo logic would indicate that homophibia is the primary motivator . That is not ruling out the influence of his culture beliving that gays deserve to have their heads removed because they are gay
but.....................................
He's from Indiana. When did he get to LA? Am I going crazy? I thought it happened on Sunday.
You know why. We all know why.
Well the shootings at the club actually happened on Sunday at 2 a.m. The Indiana guy drove cross country to arrive there in L.A. for his deal w/the parade. So I have a hard time believing it was a copycat.
I apolgize for bringing this up. However, it is bewildering that so many fatalites have yet to be claimed.
I fear that a lot of these familes have rejected and thrown out their gay sons when they came out, and have nothing to do with them .
This is very very common in hispanic family systems. It was Latin night.
Latino men reported the highest number of negative family reactions to their sexual orientation in adolescence.

I'm glad I wasn't the one who had to make a spit second decision in a moment of complete and utter terror!!!

He was probably already there just with Indiana plates.

I do not think many are ruling out cultural exposure. I think many of us are saying it was not the primary motivator. Homophobia was.
I imagine, (he was in the bar from 9:30 until he went out for his gun) he sat there IMO and stewed and hated seeing us dancing, touching, kissing etc etc and it took him to where he went .
We cannot dismiss the fact that driving a distance , to a popular gay bar, has no meaning. That in and of itself makes no sense.
Throw in dads statements about the impact of him seeing two men kissing ...and we are at PULSE.
All behavior has meaning moo

My point exactly.
No one's believed dear ole' dad from the get go why believe him now? His son was an extremist, gay hating, terrorist nutjob. What's he going to say to change that? He called gays a slur name in his last speech to the press. I'll not put it here though. Why believe him now if one didn't believe him earlier? B/c this story sounds better?
I so agree. So much empathy for that guy. He is a victim, plus survivor's guilt while dealing with the public's opinion/comments. :notgood: Hope he gets help.
He not only managed to get a gun license. He got an armed security guard license, and he got a job with a security company that's a contractor for the US government.
I am sorry IMO , dude you think a murderer is going to be banging on a door, it was blocking other from fleeing
dont go on nationial tv a confess such moomomomomomo
