Honestly, I'm really physically sick at the ignorance and blatant bigotry I'm seeing being expressed openly throughout this thread. It still beggars belief that he was able to purchase a semi auto after that, but then he was also allowed to protect people in gated communities so that says a lot for the security measures in general .. Bit scary IMO.

Oh my, this tape is the most horrifying of all, imo.
Although in dark, with some flickers of light - the sound - reaching a crescendo, that almost sounds like applause. The horror!

What can be done in entertaiment situations like this one to immediately let people know they are in imminent danger?
It was commendable that the Pulse club put the word out to run, but what else can be done?
Turn off the music, the lights, drop a net from the ceiling on everyone?
Turn a firehose on him, blind him with light, blast a siren?
Assign security to man the dj or communication booths, so that they could immediately relay the warning and music/light shutdown or turn on?
How best to survive when a madman is on the loose in a contained, noisy space?

I'm going to get stoned for this...but he is still a foreigner. Born to Muslim parents that believe and study belief's that are not American. After reading about his father, I believe he was brought up to hate us and America and groomed to do what he did. Just because someone is born on American soil, does not mean they love this country, believe in our constitution etc...

Can I make a suggestion? Can people maybe think about not throwing around 'hate' 'bigot' 'phobic'? Perhaps just agree to disagree, respectfully? Argue with the post, not the poster? Not allude to 'some people on here'? Perhaps scroll and roll when you see something that makes you roll your eyes?

I have thought all along he was in the closet, either one night stands, with either gay or transgender, thus not so much homophobia but a hatred toward himself and not knowing how to accept his desires so to speak.

totally ...... but that results in hated and jealousy of observing others than are are happy , content, with their life styles and embracing who each of are

This is what I believe. He was scoping out the place. Observing. Studying. Seeing when it was at filled capacity. Planning. This was carried out so perfectly there are people saying he can't have been the only shooter. This wasn't a on the spur of the moment pissed off mission.

He didn't visit just once and plan this type of mission. IMO

Yeah he is a whackjob but let's not use that as yet ANOTHER excuse as to why this can't have anything to do with Islamic terrorism.

It is also possible he could have gone crazy before he left Afghanistan. Many Afghan men were thrown into Russian prison camps and they suffered pretty badly, supposedly a lot of them were never the same again.

I truly believe that if his parents were born in Bitlhlo America, much of this would be a different thread!!

Agreed. He had to have studied the place for a "successful mission." 911 hijackers had dry runs, as I recall.
