Has it been verified that Omar was bisexual. Or was he trying to set up a way to meet and kill gay men or what.

Hi Dexter,

I pondered that at one point! I have not heard of like a "lot" of homosexual murders lately tho- cept maybe for water drownings!

It worthy of thought tho!!

They reported earlier on Fox News (national) that his wife had gone into hiding somewhere in Mississippi. The media was hounding her, and she didn't take kindly to it. You know, her being a victim and all.

Don't worry, the feds know where to find her when the time is right. They may screw things up pretty badly at times, but they aren't about to let this slippery fish get out of their grasp. I wouldn't doubt it if they've welded a transponder underneath her car.

Australia introduced stiff anti-terrorism laws a couple of years ago, to try to combat potential lone wolf attacks and group attacks. We did this after the Sydney Martin Place siege where a lone wolf terrorist caused chaos and death.

The laws give LE sweeping authority to use covert operations, to raid premises, to hold suspects without charge, to refuse entry back into Australia for anyone who has travelled out of the country to join forces with Isis, to deny travel visas to Isis countries … and these laws are actually being utilised by LE a lot. We often read of instances where someone has been caught doing the wrong thing.

There have been no complaints from any civil rights groups that I have seen. To us, it seemed necessary to do this … as a step in the right direction.

Btw. Beyonce isn't nor wasn't a black panther activist.

But she used the theme at a superbowl halftime show which was tasteless and dispicable.

But of course we know that Beyonce isn't a black panther. Jmo.

So I feel that Omar may not be a true holy war terrorist.

But he simply used the cause to give him more recognition after death. Jmo

Yes, I guess I'm assuming he rented the van in the first place b/c he was protecting his assets (transferring the house interest to his sister and leaving the car in his wife's possession). I guess we aren't sure if he drove his car to the rental place or not, but if he left it at home with his wife, then that is very telling.....

There are rental companies that deliver cars right to your door.

One of the people he worked with said he was down on his mat praying all the time. This was the same coworker that reported him for being a complete whackjob to his bosses, but to no avail. He eventually quit his job and went elsewhere because OM spooked him so bad.

The coworker from the gym also said he would go in the back and pray. jmo

Internalized homophobia and hate crimes

Homophobia manifests in different forms, and a number of different types have been postulated, among which are internalized homophobia

his father , for his life taked about how horrible homosexuals are --

The hateful and intolerant behavior of those closest to us often has the most profound impact (parents, church community, peers, partners).

harm other LGBTQ people on a large scale- perpetuate violence

internalized homophobia happens when LGBQ individuals are subjected to society’s negative perceptions, intolerance and stigmas towards LGBQ people, and as a result, turn those ideas inward believing they are true.

--It has been defined as ‘the gay person’s direction of negative social attitudes toward the self, leading to a devaluation of the self and resultant internal conflicts and poor self-regard.’

--self-hatred that occurs as a result of being a socially stigmatized person.” .

public identification as being gay, perception of stigma associated with being gay, degree of social comfort with other gays and beliefs regarding the religious or moral acceptability of homosexuality.

shame and secrecy,

Denial = getting married

inability to “come out”

  • Secret relationships;
  • Feeling disgust towards other LGBTQ people
Anger and resentment toward other LGBQ people for being out gay days?

Being closeted is linked with high-anxiety, low self-esteem, increased risk for suicide and general lack of fulfillment.

recognize the truth of what kind of harm you’re facing--face the disapproval of a parent, coming out to dad pretty intense in thsi case

anything other than a prison,

Depression / Anxiety / Self Esteem Issues / Self-harm / Suicide / Substance Abuse / Eating Disorders

hearing homophobic slurs at school, to being the victim of a hate crime,

negative outcomes in both romantic and non-romantic relationships. --

  • Verbal or physical abuse within friendships and romantic relationships
can lead to hurtful outbursts.

Um, no. You're misreading the elements that define Domestic Terrorism.

"Domestic terrorism" means activities with the following three characteristics:

  • Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
  • Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and
  • Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.

i, ii, iii are OR elements. Only one has to be met. If all three were required OR would be AND.

You may disagree that his act appears to be intended to intimidate a civilian population.

IMO, his act appears to be intended to intimidate a civilian population in the same manner that hate crimes against any segment of the civilian population are intended.

His hate crime was an act of domestic terrorism.

YMMV

Is this the second wife??

As an AMerican citizen she would be able to go anywhere. She has not been found or charged with breaking any laws.

I think the media hanging on to that angle makes it more dramatic-- if they had anything to prove the medias "stuff" she would have been arrested in the biggest mass murder in history.

In fact, them not doing anything with the passage of time indicates no invovment - she only asked him not to do anything violent.

The grand jury is a stall IMO, make the public think they are doing "something".

There have to be reasons why she has not been arrested and the only thing I think of is they have not discovered anything to inidcate she was involved.

We know they have her texts, so there may be some exonerating info in them

He gave his wife access to his banking accts and made her the beneficiary of his life ins. Like they are going to pay out!

Actually term life insurance may pay out depending on how long he had the policy. Many policies state after the first two years they pay out regardless of the cause of death, including suicide. The law requires it so the insurance companies have no choice.

But, but.. but was he facing mecca barefoot when he prayed? Because then and only then could he possibly be a terrorist. And I mean possibly, quite literally, because we still have to know if the prayer rug was in compliance. If it contained even a shred of silk fiber he wasn't a true muslim terrorist. And then there's the prayer itself. Unless there's a video of him praying we have no way to know if it was a legitimate prayer. And since we don't know all these critical details we can't possibly label him a jihadi. Probably best we refer to him as an angry, homophobic, white Christian male. They're the only group of individuals where stereotyping, blaming & discrimination is socially acceptable AND hashtag trendy!

Ok I googled too but didn't find any MSM links - huff post, controversial times; patriot nation aren't really MSM.

My friend earlier said she heard she was missing.

I ain't buying it - the Feds have her under their thumb probably being watched around the clock - she couldn't just disappear, could she?

JMHO

I had to use the ignore button, can't stand to read anymore of the absurdities or twisted logic about these killings, but most of all, ISIS sympathizers.

I'm in dire need of that feature. How do I find it again?

I know you're being sarcastic......but grab a beer and a bag of chips and wait for the onslaught of sympathizers that begin asking those very questions.
Talk about people being added onto a list, I think I may start a little list of my own.

"If you see something, say something"....................

And the driver didn't notice him loading guns etc in the car?

Not if the driver wasn't around. If a rental is delivered to your home, there's usually no reason for whomever delivered it to hang around. I think we're all assuming he took the guns somewhere and offloaded them to the rental. Maybe not.

Top righthand corner of this screen click on "settings".......at next screen, scroll down on left to "MY Account", there you will see an option for "edit ignore list". Copy and paste or just type in the username of the person.

WE KNOW he did it. We are also learning just how much of a fruitcake he was. I'm not so sure that even ISIS would have accepted him. JMO They were happy to take credit for his massacre, though. Good propaganda. YUCK JMO

Agree! he could not manage relationships with anyone in his life. He cant stay awake in a AC class!

I cant imagine him passing terrorism training. In every other one of these , pretty soon they connect folks going over there for that kind of thing.

The two times he went over there (forgot what it was called) they have found no connections with training.

I think it was like a Jewish person going to Isreal!!

My guess is that the "nice guy" (ugh) email address was part of the mask he wore for attracting potential mates online.

Note to online romance seekers: if they include "nice guy" in their monikers, they probably aren't.

I'm lousy at handwriting analysis, but I do see that sample is not as neat and tidy as some of his other samples. No idea what that might indicate, just an observation.

I have some basic knowledge of handwriting analysis. It angles to right, which indicates he is comfortable around people. He is not a loner.

He tends to be more repressed, but not severely repressed compared to John Wayne Gacy, Jodi Arias, Jeffrey Dahmer, or Lori Drew. They have a lot more muddying than Mateen.
