I don't trust his family members either and the FBI must not trust his father nor his wife since they both have been added to the 'no fly' list. I didn't think they would advertise they were going over to learn how to become a terrorist or perhaps a fanatical Imam. I don't think either of his family members are that stupid. Most of these terrorists pretend they are going to middle eastern countries for legitimate purposes when they aren't.

I think the FBI is going to investigate this trip very closely.

I think the opposite. I believe it turns into people demonizing people with mental illnesses.

Mass shooter = mentally ill = people with mental illnesses are scary and should be locked up or forced to take meds, should be ineligible to vote or own guns.

Cariis I don't know one country which has more violent criminals who comes from another county unless it is ISIS and the countries they have now infiltrated. I highly doubt all of the knife attacks done in the UK are done by tourists from another country or a foreigner. I would bet the majority of the violent crimes are done by citizens in the UK just like it happens in every country. In every country I have seen the vast majority of crime is done by the citizens of that particular country. So I don't know why you are singling America out as somehow being different than the rest? What country has more violent crime committed by outsiders who are not citizens nor were born there?

Iirc, in the 1990s Eric Rudolph bombed an abortion clinic wounding a lady severely and then killed one lady with a bomb he set in Atlanta. Then there was a man who was a fanatical Christian who murdered a late term abortion doctor in his driveway. I believe that happened in the mid 2000s. Then last year another fanatical Christian extremist killed three people outside of an abortion clinic. Other than those I don't remember other shootings done because of their radical Christian beliefs. And those weren't even considered mass shooting since the FBI IDs them as four or more victims at the same time. Mass shootings can be a man who wipes out his own family of four or a women who shoots four or more of her children etc. Those are domestic violence mass shootings. Or a home invader who murders a family of four or more.

Are you saying you really believe now that Mateen has done the largest mass shooting in our history they aren't going to go back and thoroughly investigate all aspects of this case and his history and whereabouts in the past 5 or 6 years? If so, respectfully I think you are mistaken. They are going to look at every aspect of his life as if he was a new germ being viewed under a microscope for the very first time. Before their investigation is over with they will know ever tiny detail about this mass murderer.

One of the things listed in the study is that the military saw they needed a leader to get soldiers to shoot.

If someone was shot in a crowd with a round of .223 the bullet could have passed through another victim before hitting them. Plus a lot of these folks were trying to help victims or huddled in corners with copious amounts of blood.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this would be true for any mass shooting. While I was in surgery h having a splintered shoulder repaired, my surgeon sliced his finger in my bone. I woke up to a hospital lawyer begging me for an HIV test. Blood contamination = HIV test.

I haven't seen any one in an official capacity say they should all be murdered. I have seen some say we have to have a better way of vetting those who come into our country and I don't know who would want to disagree with that. Our government says it cant even tell us where thousands of them are.

Of course it is a crime of raw hatred. For sure Mateen hated the infidels he murdered and wounded. Absolutely. He showed no compassion to his victims at all and was happy he was murdering everyone he could but all Islamic terrorists attacks are motivated by hatred against the infidels. That is what Islamic terrorists feed off of........to the point they do some of the most barbaric murders in today's time.

And many of us have been killed over there and here so I fail to see your point.

I wouldn't give it any credit either if there wasn't multiple witnesses and documentation for years showing his radical Muslim extremist views. Its there, and there will be more to come in the next weeks and months. None of it will be pretty.
