Tid Bits

We have many places of worship and other religious organizations in the properties we manage. Like all our tenants, their occupancy rights are protected in their leases, but we will not tolerate tenants who advocate hatred and the taking of innocent lives.....

Just as we respect the right of individuals to speak their views, as distasteful as they may be, we also respect the right of others to protest as a reflection of their values

Please do not take this as any less of a commitment on the part of our company to continue to work with Verity Baptist Church to move out of our park.

Recall the San Diego Craigslist ad? The term "bug chaser" was used, I believe. There are (probably very few) people that intentionally put themselves and others at risk for HIV exposure.

The guy he slept with lied TO him not the other way around. The only way to be lied to is to discuss something - so I would conclude , that since he bought the conveersation up, he was HIV aware, tried to make sure he was not expsoing himself to the virus not the other around moo

The owner of the app said they can't find the shooter on the app

http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/...BlitzRss&utm_campaign=usatoday-newstopstories

Without an email address or login credentials, Jack’d can neither confirm nor deny that Mateen had an account on its system, he said. Signing up for the basic version of the Jack'd app can be done anonymously and does not require a credit card or name verification.

rue Life," MTV's Emmy-winning documentary series, is seeking the stories of Pulse survivors and loved ones who lost someone in the nightclub shooting.
MTV plans to gather the stories for a one-hour special that will air later this summer, a spokesman said.

Regarding the gift of $9K in jewelry from OM to wife Noor, it's important, IMO, to understand the meaning of gifts of jewelry in middle eastern islamic cultures. Both Noor and OM are deeply immersed in middle eastern culture and values, even while in the U.S., because of their families, which have not assimilated their thinking and cultural adaptation, IMO. They "live" between 2 worlds-- american capitalism and freedom, and the "culture" of Afghanistan and middle eastern islamic culture and patriarchy.

Jewelry is given to a middle eastern woman as a form of security (gold holds value and can be sold), as a form of dowry, and also as BOTH expressions of love, and apology. Women do not buy their own jewelry, even if they can afford it. (Many shopkeepers are uncomfortable selling to western women for the same reason, in my experience.) The gift of gold jewelry from a husband to a wife has many meanings in middle eastern cultures, far beyond a simple token of affection, or "showing off" how wealthy and generous the man is.

It would be difficult to explain how many gold souks are in middle eastern markets-- they are EVERYWHERE. Much of the jewelry is (by western standards) extremely gaudy, large, and heavy. Gold is sold by weight there, so "big" is better, even if the women never intends to actually WEAR the pieces. (You typically pay for the weight of the piece, not the craftmanship or design.) Some extraordinary pieces are literally like gold lingerie, with large plates, chains, etc. When I was in the middle east, it was actually difficult to find pieces small enough for a westerner to comfortably wear, and shopkeepers always steer you to very large pieces. (Small represents poor and cheap to the shopkeeper, on the part of the buyer. It's an insult to the shopkeeper if you buy a small piece!)

Anyway, OM's gift of jewelry to Noor has many cultural overtones. I think it also represents a pre-emptive apology.

Here's a passage about the meanings of gold jewelry:

https://americanbedu.com/2012/06/19/saudi-arabia-why-saudi-women-receive-so-much-jewelry/

It would be interesting to know exactly which kind of pieces of jewelry he bought for Noor, IMO.

I have a very hard time believing that authorities "don't know" where Noor is at this time. That would be beyond incompetent.

What's the difference is whats bolded and someone that is GAY? That person lives in two worlds also before crossing over to their true gender. Listen, everyone in the country that comes here from a different country, needs to remind themselves that this isn't the land that Dorothy lives in, from the "Wizard of Oz". It's not all one way here and if that can't be accepted, then go home. Anyone that hates their job, then go home- period. There's no room for this here. Everything is in transition all the time, including the earth. Nothing stays the same... nothing. ( well, maybe except for love and connections and/or strong ties- but if there too extreme - then go home) There are too many people with differences and cultures in the USA.

Does anyone know of any (for sure!) ISIS real terrosit attack, in the USA, where the perps were on some "list" of our govt?

Remain confused about the hoopla regarding the redaction stuff.

The world already knew he verbilzed something about cookies!

Who cares if we know its Oreros who cares. Changes what? All isis terroist groups (Chips O hoy, Nabisco Mint ha) are all gonna use what happened to "cookie sales" figurativly.

There not a honarable group of folks, so its like well if noone knows which group it was it makes a difference to all the radicalized people againist usa.

At the beginning did any of us beleive they were not gonna take credit ?

Of course they were , they did, and its not true. moo

I think moo we should be wanting the transcripts of the hostage stuff - all of it, it certainly would give insight into his mind set at the time

I understand that. I think it would be more accurate to say that I'm "open to considering that she didn't understand ".

Given the information that she was in special ed, plus the comments from people that know her (linked in prior thread, please don't make me dig!) about her being kinda "slow", etc... leads me to this.

My son, who is cognitively disabled probably influences my feelings. It's hard to explain, but please look into it.
That's fair, but I'm thinking it's about 95% likely she understood that a bag of guns can kill people or she wouldn't have tried to talk him out of it in the first place. she'd have just told LE she saw him leaving with guns.

I think if I had been in there running for my life, I may not have stopped to video anything. I may have dropped my phone or it may have been knocked out of my hand by others running.
Or you may have been too worried about bleeding to death or in horrible pain or trying to survive to video anything, or more worried about assisting your friends who were close to death. Or you could have not wanted to p**** off a madman with a gun by taping his every move. I can't imagine why on earth you'd want to keep that memory on film, and I wouldn't be thinking of making recordings to give to TMZ if I were in the midst of such a truly horrifying situation. There are about 101 videos of the scene outside, which makes perfect sense to me because the ones taking those videos generally weren't directly involved in the tragedy.

My assumption has been that there are more videos but have been confiscated by the authorities. I am sure someone would have taped him in the bathroom thinking it could be evidence later. I am positive there is more out there that we aren't privy to.
Very true, but I think most people were regulars so they'd likely be aware of the security cameras already. I'm thinking there may be a few that took video for evidence, but most probably were busy just trying to stay alive and assumed the police knew who the shooter was and let the security cameras do their job..

He (Omar) was terrified that he was infected,” he said. “I asked him, ‘Did you do a test?’ Yes. He went to the pharmacy and did the test … it came out negative but it doesn’t come out right away. It takes 4, 5 months. (that does not sound right??)

“When I asked him what he was going to do now, his answer was, ‘I’m going to make them pay for what they did to me,’” he added

both posts

I checked it out it depends on what kind ot testing he did. Thw Walmart one apparently can be 20 seconds. But the deal is on some more sophisticated ones takes longer, then retest of postive.

When my doctor did it it took like 4 weeks , but long time ago . But q quarter of a year sounds off moo

Nope. If they were referring to the window period in which the virus can be detected, it takes three months after exposure for you to be 97% sure that you don't have HIV. It can take up to six mos for the virus to show itself in some people, but people that take that long for the virus to be detected in a test tend to have other problems (cancer, lupus, whatever else immune system-related). If you mean how long does it take to get your results, it depends. They have instant tests now that take a few minutes, and they have traditional tests they send out that take longer to get the results, about a week or two, I believe.

Btw, I find this story to be complete hogwash. Of course I have heard of these "down low" men contracting HIV because they don't want to admit they're gay or don't want to carry condoms to raise suspicion, but come on. His wife was definitely not wearing the pants in this family. With all the rumors of Mateen being an abusive bully (which are 100% believable, btw) I doubt she'd have noticed or dared to say anything if she did if he kept a box of condoms in his car. Not to mention this fellow is "stocky". Nothing against full-figured people (I could lose more than a few myself, believe me), but Mateen strikes me as about as vain as they come. I would think he'd want a nice fit "friend with benefits" that shared his love of fitness.

I definitely think OM may have had gay leanings, but I think he was too ashamed of those feelings to have actually done something about it. I think these claims of him being on all these gay apps are just cases of mistaken identity at best, at worst outright lying for 15 minutes of fame. We've already had the officials at one app come out (sorry!!) with the information that they cannot find any proof of OM having a profile, and one person has already been proven to be a phony that made a fake screenshot to look like OM sent it when he never even had an account. A bunch of witnesses say he was a regular at Pulse, which I totally buy. The ones claiming he was a regular say he talked about his wife, ex-wife, father, and kid. None yet, IIRC, have said he came on to them, just that he got drunk and weird.I fail to see how someone that was supposedly so ashamed of his secret gay trysts would plaster his face all over gay apps. If you've ever looked at one of those gross apps, e.g. Tinder, Grindr, Hot or Not, etc, you'd see that more often than not it's someone showing off their body trying to get laid. I'd think he'd be like half the people there that post a bunch of body pics to hide their identity if he did have an account on one of those apps, so no one would have ever known they were talking to him at all unless they'd actually met him.

Yep! If he can't kill them all, he will try to pass on HIV. And that's if he did contract the disease. JMO
I think it's pretty much common knowledge that they screen donated blood to the moon and back. I can't imagine anyone with HIV trying to infect people by giving blood when they know it would be immediately thrown out, not to mention that if he had HIV he wouldn't want a random blood bank to know. IMO if he truly wanted to get revenge on all gays because one gave him HIV, he could pass it to about 20 or more in one week by posting a picture of his muscles on Grindr.

So the lover is making it up as well as the hotel that says OM was there?

Surveillance footage from inside the Orlando club the night of the rampage shows Omar Mateen firing at people, stopping and then shooting again those who were already wounded, said officials who have viewed the evidence.

The video suggests “he was making sure anybody who was shot was dead,” said one official, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation into the shooting continues.

The footage corroborates eyewitness accounts that Mateen quickly emptied a 30-round magazine and then reloaded, proceeding to fire another 30 rounds into the wounded sprawled in front of him.

On Saturday night, before leaving his home, Mateen told his wife he was going to see an old friend nicknamed Nemo, said officials and others familiar with the case. He then drove to Orlando. Officials said that at the club, Mateen got an entry wristband, went inside and then left. He later returned and began his bloody rampage.

“the morning before the massacre at Orlando’s Pulse gay nightclub, shooter Omar Mateen drastically altered his appearance, shaving his head and face, and seemed agitated and surly, said an acquaintance who saw him that day.

Mateen also talked about staying up all night to do online research into anti-psychosis medication, the acquaintance said in a interview. The acquaintance requested anonymity, saying authorities had asked him to keep quiet.”

*

“The acquaintance, a resident at the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where Mateen worked as a gate security guard, said he noticed signs of deteriorating behavior a few weeks before the massacre.

He had passed the gate for three years, meeting Mateen several times a week and exchanging friendly small talk. About three weeks before the attack, he noticed Mateen seemed agitated and asked him if he was all right.”

This is so strange. Did he recognize he was losing his grip on reality or was he having disturbing thoughts?
If he was searching them up online was his intent to see a psychiatrist? Could he have been looking them up for some other reason?

“He’d been real worried about whether or not he’d slipped into psychosis,” the acquaintance said. “He wasn’t as friendly. He was obsessed with researching medication online.”

This description in the article seems different and, at the very least is more clear than others I have read:

“The final confrontation was perhaps the most chaotic. Authorities detonated an explosive charge to breach the wall to the restrooms, but it did not create an opening as intended, Mark Canty, the Orlando Police Department’s SWAT commander, has said. Police then used an armored vehicle to ram a hole, which turned out to be between two of the club’s restrooms, Canty said.

Canty said that Mateen was in the north of those restrooms and that officers created another hole in the south restroom so that hostages could escape. Mateen, he said, soon emerged from the other hole — between the two restrooms — where he was fatally shot in a final gun battle with police.”

Well, all of that and does it in any way explain the call he had with some friend?

Well then, he was PTSD from rape or what he thought was rape. You now, I don't really know and I'd hate to "tune in" to that kind of negativity, but I think there were two things going on here.I apologize for not listening to this interview but I do feel, this ISIS effort was some kind of distorted way to validate his actions. So, I agree with the guy on camera that is disguising himself, that a true Muslim would be appalled that OM threw this in their face. I think it was more personal but I think he was on the brink of insanity ( sickness). ( Just my observations after the last interview) He did drive two hours to the bar, so the restrooms at any public place are what they are- so "Pulse" is not some exception. That would be common knowledge and nothing brilliant to drive two hours for. It's not like he had to use the can at Pulse.

The 9/11 hijackers shaved all their body hair off that morning.

http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2011/9/9/brothers-alghamdi-room-maid/?page=2

The maid would later tell the FBI that it looked as if the men slept on top of their sheets and placed light silk clothes over their pillows. In the room, the maid discovered copious amounts of body hair and water left on the floor. The maid also noted that all the room’s lotion bottles had been emptied.

The brothers had shaved off all of their body hair, symbolically purging themselves of their sins. This was just one of many instructions provided to them, so that they could prepare for their martyrdom.

"Do not leave your apartment unless you have performed ablution before leaving," the list read in Arabic, "Because the angels will ask for your forgiveness as long as you are in a state of ablution, and will pray for you."

Like already has been pointed out, a recent HIV infection might not show up for some months. Which is why gay or bisexual men who had sex with other men are currently not eligible to donate.
For OM to donate blood, if he actually did have sex with other men, he'd have to claim during donation that he didn't. I do wonder if he believed himself infected and donated blood to infect other people?

Congress is acfting like children again. I could care less if this useless bill passes but there they go I think they are pouting again

they are doing a sit in GROW UP and act like leaders --

we have to be the laughting stock globally

The sit in is led by John Lewis, who has been a civil rights leader for decades. His head was bashed in by police officers at the march on Selma. He is 76 years old and has served this country well. You can disagree with his position on this, but you should not be disrespectful of him and his legacy. Jmo

Thinking about it, I have come to realize that our government just does not have the tools and enforcement of laws already in place to stop any terrorist. OUR defenders hands are tied.
Right from the top of those who have sworn to protect us. Right from the top.

I am pretty angry that as a small business owner of less then 8 employees that I have been audited over 13 times over the last 9 years.
Yes. That is true and I'm tired.

Why are illegals pouring into our country without any vetting?
Why spend money attacking small businesses, in the USA, instead of spending money to keep us safe?

I really do not know the Why.
I just know the it is happening, every single day.

Hi

i was confused about the blood donation a while back. But then when the lover broke , i thought wow, is that not the perfect way to project your self hate out into the world. But they do screen right? So even if he was postive, and had not checked or whatever, it would get screened out yes?

i saw a doc about that a long time ago- one would that in preparation for sucide as well. Jsut committing suicide in that religon is really bad, ( in the same cat as being gay) so it would be attmpting to rid themselves of the sin they are about to do. Same thing with the head shaving.

IMO, yes

What struck me the first time I saw the breaches in a big picture, was the middle one was the only one he could walk out of standing up, head held high into a barrage of asked for bullets - he would have had to "crawl " out the other two moo

My notion that he was gonna do this outside is wrong. Why would he buy a wristband, unless he wanted to see if it was busy itnside.

Trying to get laid is a component of being male not sexual orientation, Its genetic, the reason why we get to be (in my old days pre aids!)far more promiscious is, generally speaking:

First we do not have to deal with pregnancy

Males (srt dudes would love to be able to do it-but they are dealing with woman socialzied differently about what sex is)

Males are far more comfortable with having sex once with someone and having nothing to do with them again. Its a male thing. Trust me (!) strt men wish they could get away with it!!

We are far more intersted in the "hunt" and "conquest", whereas females are more nesting.

That is true in all mammals.

I found gerneally speaking that gay men most promiscious, Hetero folks second, (casue a male is part of that mix) and generally, I repeat generally, speaking leisbians are far more into situtions whereinfriends come over. Genrallly speaking.

That sounds like sterotypicaing - I lived it - and its supported simlply by the fact that numbers of gay bars that cater to gay men far , far, out number bars that cater to lesbians.

ANy gay bar accepts anyone - but think about it. A gay male would rather go to a bar known to be fruquented by males, to cruise. In the same vein , ladies would like to be with other ladies. Kinda like srt guys do not want to be in a gay bar casue they are wanting to look at woman!!

So then it becomes a supply demand $$$ thing - and without doubt there are far more bars catering primarily to males!

Strt or gay , what is primary "goal" of bar hopping.

Generally speaking gay men are wanting to hook up. So are srt men! The problem is , generally speaking ladies want to find someone they can meet in a week for a date!!

Think about , the labels society gives to two identical behaviors are totally the opposite - one positive one derogative- its the way all of our socialized.

Promiscious men studs

Promiscious females 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
