*Motions Hearing (@ 1:30pm ET) – FL – Megan Denise Gula Todt (42), Aleksander (13), Tyler (11), Zoe (4) & dog Brezzy (last heard from Jan. 6, 2020, Celebration; found Jan. 13, 2020; LE believe they have been dead since Dec. 29, 2019) - *Anthony John Todt (44/now 46) arrested (1/15/20), charged (1/16/20), indicted (2/25/20) & arraigned (2/28/20) with 4 counts of premeditated murder & 1 count of animal cruelty. Charges changed (1/29/20) & arraigned (2/28/20) with 4 counts of 2nd degree murder & animal cruelty charge dismissed. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP & has changed mind on 1/4/21 will not seek DP.
Trial set to begin on 11/1/21. (3 week trial).

The date of the trial was reset yesterday from 11/1 to 11/3.

The nearly four-hour hearing ended with an opportunity for the defense who has 10 days from Tuesday’s hearing to submit a written statement regarding a motion to have Todt’s past statements being thrown out and the prosecution will have 10 days after that for a rebuttal.

At this time the scheduled Nov. 1 trial date has been reset.

That's a total of 20 days - to be sorted before trial. I'm thinking trial is not going to start on 11/3 @Countem - is there anything new in the court site? TIA!

Nov. 3—Anthony Todt, the former Colchester physical therapist charged with murdering his family, has had his trial further delayed.

Judge Keith Carsten in Osceola County District Nine Court in Florida delayed the first day of jury selection, which was to start Wednesday, and instead scheduled a case management conference for Nov. 17 as a way to determine the status of the case for both parties.

Nov. 3—Anthony Todt, the former Colchester physical therapist charged with murdering his family, has had his trial further delayed.

Judge Keith Carsten in Osceola County District Nine Court in Florida delayed the first day of jury selection, which was to start Wednesday, and instead scheduled a case management conference for Nov. 17 as a way to determine the status of the case for both parties.

Let's hope this means he's considering a plea deal.
