Speedos with socks and shoes is such a strange combination to be wearing, I can't think of a scenario where someone could wear that.

Shoes: He may not have owned slide-on shoes. Americans are fond of flip flops and other sock-free slide-ons but other nationalities differ, perhaps especially for men. Some foot conditions (metatarsalgia, eg) make wearing non-supportive shoes very painful.

Speedo: Some of the “no shirt, no shoes, no service” establishments will insist on footwear but be more lenient on clothing.

If he was walking to the beach for a late night dip. At 350 lbs surely he didn't have on those skimpy speedos!

Was codeine a recreational drug in 2009? Add some alcohol for a buzz? Didn't Lil Wayne make a drink with cough syrup and booze?

@othram can you bring Mr. Strong home?

How does one go about requesting help from one of the genetic organizations for DNA work?
@othram can you bring Mr. Strong home?

If this one shows up on anyone's funding radar, I'm donating, absolutely

syrup has been around since the 90s, not sure what format he used though

Per autopsy: alcohol and codeïne in blood. <This can cause drowsiness. Opioids and alcohol are not a good combination> <Codeine.
I wonder what the amounts were and if it could have effect on how he acted/his level of consciousness at all.

Correct, without amounts it could be anything. From abuse to harmless coughdrops.

I came across this gentleman reported missing from Miramar, FL a little over a year from when UID was found. I have to say even though absolutely nothing fits except for brown eyes and being from FL, I stopped in my tracks and thought he looks exactly like the really tall guy found in Miami Beach. It can’t be! But, look at the comparison. Crazy, he looks like he could be his son. Just wanted to share as I couldn’t believe the resemblance.

This happened to me once in a different case.

A man (who’s since been IDed) jumped in front of a train. He had a composite sketch. I was browsing missing persons for another case and a man’s picture popped up in an area not far from the JD. Good loooooorrrrddddd he was a dead ringer! Wasn’t him though, he has disappeared a year after the man had died IIRC.

Ears are very different. The rest, though, is uncanny.

Found this new MP entry in NamUs interesting due to the physical description and especially his weight to be about 350 lbs. However, the height estimate is extremely off.

Red/Auburn hair, fair complexion, freckles and brown eyes would all be the same.

Anthony Michael Dwyer DLC was July of 1989. His family indicated he may have gone to Florida. If he was estranged from his family for 20 years, maybe a possibility.

“Anthony Michael Dwyer went missing on 7/11/1989. At the time, family indicated that Anthony Michael Dwyer may have gone to Florida and maybe working in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, or Miami Beach area as a pizza maker, cook, or pizza shop manager. Anthony M. Dwyer was reported to be 5'10'' tall, 350 pounds, fair complexion, freckles, brown eyes, red hair, wearing high top white and black tennis shoes, grey sweatsuit with a white stripe.”

Height almost a foot off. 6'9" to 5'10".

Noted above that height was extremely off. Just posted because the remainder of the description seemed to match. Surely can’t be him unless someone made a mistake with the height on either the MP or UID details. I guess if you hadn’t physically seen your family in 20 years, not sure. Just wanted to place the information on the thread.

A Jane Doe case I've been watching for awhile was just changed from 15 - 25 years old to a new age estimate of 20 - 40 years old. There have also been cases where people were mistakenly excluded from being themselves.

Sometimes you really do have to say, "But what if..."

Right? I have a couple of those cases saved just in case. Everything matches except no mention of tattoos on one but that doesn’t mean there are none so it’s a “but, what if” also. This is why details are so important. Even small details such as a mole in a specific place. So many cases are missing critical details which unfortunately throws them into the dark hole to wait for someone to do DNA.

If I have time next week I'll try and get some records on him.

That would be great. Maybe there are additional details that could be helpful for furthering search efforts to aid in his identity. Thank you.
