So what was Dale's motive? Anyone? Has LE ever presented one?

What was his motive for any of the things that he did, at least those that he was caught at? I have a feeling there were a lot of other incidents that unfortunately no one pressed charges on. What was his motive for ganging up on that lifeguard 20 years ago and kicking his friend in the head and participating in a group beating and stabbing that ultimately left him dead? What was his motive for smashing a chair over the head of another bar patron resulting in another battery assault felony conviction? What was his motive for waking up his 2nd wife in the middle of the night and beating her and slamming her head into a railing requiring a hospital visit and having him charged with domestic assault? What was his motive for telling a woman he met in a bar that his wife had received the 2nd head injury that ultimately resulted in her death from the headboard of the bed when she was having sex with his friend? (And believe me I cleaned that up, the post from Einyroo was much more graphic as to what he actually said to her) What was his motive for filing for repeat violence against another woman who may have been his girlfriend prior to Michelle. Or for taking her to small claims court? What was his motive for taking Michelle to court for a ring that was lost during a mutual fight that according to her he started with an insensitve remark for no apparent reason? What was his motive for hitting Michelle in front of the children as her son testified to, under oath, in a court of law?

There was also another arrest for felony burglary, downgraded to trespassing, drug charges both as a civilian and when he was in the marines. What was his motive for lying on message boards and probably in real life about being in the army when some of these incidents took place? He is quite obviously a pathological liar and while I am not qualified to diagnose a personality disorder, his behaviour seems to be in line with a sociopath/psychopathic type personality. And as is usually the case with these types of people, most people around them would think they are wonderful people and would never believe them capable of any wrong doing to someone. Or they would be manipulated to believe that everyone else around them is the problem…not them. Why do so many things keep happening around him?

DSJr has a history of violent assault both domestic and otherwise. The only apparent motive seems to be when someone pisses him off which doesn‘t seem to take much. So it’s not that much of a stretch to think that it is likely the motive here if he is responsible.

I still pop in on this thread from time to time, hoping to read about some form of progress. While I've lurked on WS for several years, there was something about this case that really touched me. It's the first one that I followed since the beginning, and even signed up to start posting on.

After all this time, it's really disheartening that Michelle has not been found and no one has been brought to justice for her disappearance. I remember watching the video of her in the drive-thru not long ago (receiving what was likely her last meal). And it made me so incredibly sad...for her children, for her family...for her. As I watched the images, all I could think of was that she had no idea what was about to occur.

I don't understand how the person responsible could sleep at night, knowing what they did. How could they think it's okay to go through life doing horrible things to people, and not be held accountable? Who gives anyone the right to take the life of another human being? Is this person even bothered in the least by what they've done? Do they even care?

With that being said, I agree 100% with the above post by Kamille. When someone has anger issues, they act on IMPULSE. All it takes is for someone to say something that strikes a nerve, or for them to feel that they've been wronged, and they will snap. They need no motive, because they are overcome by rage. And in their mind nothing else matters in that moment, but for them to unleash it. MOO

Less than a month after the twins' first birthday in 2009, Parker moved her children out of Smith's home and back to her mother's house in Geneva. Later that year, she sought protection from Smith after she claimed he broke out the passenger window in her car.

So if this is correct it would have been June 2009. And DSJr filed the paternity suit in July 2009. So it looks to me like Michelle did try to get herself and the children away from him at that time.

If Dale is arrested and I'm not holding my breath then there will have to be more than just circumstantial evidence and heresay. Also anything that has to do with his ex's death will not be admissible as far as it being a mysterious death that Dale may be responsible for. This is something that people here have dreamt up. I also doubt that they are going to try and prove he has posted on the internet. It could have been anyone posting, a friend relative or stranger. They are also going to need direct evidence involving him in a MURDER as they will not have any other choice than to try and PROVE that a murder has taken place. If they can't prove murder then what else can they arrest him for? The answer is nothing. So many people think that because Dale is so violent and has a checked past that there is no other person that could have murdered Michelle. So if we use that logic then anyone who dates or is married to a violent spouse can never be murdered by someone other than their spouse? :waitasec:

Did the woman ever press charges? I know it showed up on quite a few blogs and YouTube. IMO this is another incident showing Dale's character...

Great point Lark! Just think about all we have found online as a collective group here at WS. I know at one point they had 16 detectives working on Michelle's case. That is some manpower. I cannot wait for the fireworks to begin...

I don't think Dale worries about support. He knows he has the support of his freinds and apparantly some people who don't even know him but aren't afraid to open their eyes and look at the big picture.
