Here are links and descriptions of the visitation issues. Below you will see reports describing the situation. Apparently, the twins lived with their mother and grandmother since they were born. And they spent very little time with Dale. The first twelve days after their mommy went missing, they were kept completely away from their brother and grandmother.
Michelle's family publicly stated it was a carjacking, but still Dale kept the kids away from them. On the 12th day, her family tried to force Dale to allow for visitation. Yvonne was able to see them for one day. They still had not been told anything at all about their mom being missing. So she agreed to keep it form them, as Dale asked her to do.
The courts ruled against Michelle's family, and they were returned to Dale. But the attorney for the Parkers said that a liberal visitation agreement had been worked out and the family was thrilled. But in reality, Dale did not follow through on the agreement, and the family was not allowed to see the kids for months. I think they have seen them 3 times in the past 6 months. Short visits.

After the ruling Stewart hugged Smith and whispered in his ear.
"I told him that I want to see my grandchildren," Stewart said with tears in her eyes. "It's going to be OK."

Stewart and her family spent Tuesday evening with her grandchildren for the first time since Parker vanished on Nov. 17 after dropping the twins off with Smith.
In this country, grandparents have no rights," Stewart said.
"Even though I've raised them for three years, and this is what they know. They want to be with their brother, he doesn't understand any of this and I'm like 'you have to do what they say right now' and it's tough.
Stewart got to spend time a little bit of time with the twins before she had to turn them back over to Smith.
For now, she hopes they are in good hands with their dad, as she returns her focus to finding her daughter.
I feel sorry for Michelle, Stewart said. I feel sorry for her. Don't feel sorry for me.

The children have lived with Stewart and her family on-and-off for most of their lives and have bedrooms at her home. They wanted French fries and chocolate milk, so the family took them to McDonald's.
Once home, the twins played with their new Chihuahua puppy their mother bought for them recently and then got ready for bed.
The next day they were returned to their father, whom they are not accustomed to spending so much time with, Stewart said.
"It was heart wrenching because they were happy to be with us. I really know Michelle would want them to be with us," Stewart said. "I think we are going to work out some amicable grandma visit time."

The family of Michelle Parker and Michelle's ex-fiancé Dale Smith II have reached an agreement allowing the family to see the couple's twins. For the first time since a judge ruled the children should remain with Smith, Lauren Erickson, Parker's younger sister spent Sunday with the twins.
The Parker family attorney said both sides have reached a "very liberal visitation plan" but wouldn't go into specifics. Lauren said whenever their mother Michelle comes up they change the subject, knowing Parker's disappearance isn't something 3-year-olds can and should have to understand.
"It's mommy is at work or mommy's on vacation when they do ask and she'll be home soon, she's just not here right now," Erickson said.

Parker's family arrived at the search site this morning and was briefed by law enforcement.
"We have been waiting for clues and tips to see if we can find her," Parker's mother, Yvonne Stewart, said. "It's a double-edge sword. But if she is here, I hope we find her."
Recent weeks have been increasingly harder for the family, Stewart said. She has not been allowed to see her 3-year-old twin grandchildren for the past three weeks, despite having a visitation arrangement.
The children have been living with their father since their mother disappeared.
Stewart said when she last saw the children they appeared to be healthy.
She worries about what Smith may be telling the children about her family. They had been raised by their mother and her family since they were two weeks old, Stewart said.
