I also worry that she may have been bagged up and put in a large garbage dumpster. I am not sure that LE had a chance to catch all of the dumpsters before they went out. he and his dad both worked in construction, so they knew where to find large industrial dumpsters that would easily hide a large package. jmo

If someone was into fishing, they could know of a LOT of places off 95 near Oak Hill for instance. That area would be within the 3.5 round trip time frame and there are lots and lots of open lands, back roads, fishing areas. But, there's land along that stretch that I bet no one's set foot on in years.

Good suggestions...all he would need to do is pull off somewhere...go a little into the woods and start digging Now if we could figure out what vehicle Michelle was in...it COULD narrow the driving distance.

I don't think Dale would care about evidence on the Hummer; he's going to abandon the Hummer and pretend he was never near it. Since Dale senior studied Powell case, I'm sure they how to use gloves, buy shoes too big, etc. and then pitch it.

A stranger who would abduct Michelle wouldn't care about soil in the tires, just as long as the soil wasn't on him.


Does anyone know where the Powell forum starts. I'd like to find out what the Smiths learned. TIA

IMO Forensic evidence in a vehicle might give all kinds of clues to the investigators. It may help in identifying a person (DNA, Fingerprints, objects) as well as a location, through vegetation samples , dust particles, air pollutants, insect remains, soil samples ... just to name a few of the obvious ones. A perp, either Dale here or someone else, has all the reasons in the world to keep his/hers exposure to a minimum if at all. We know the the H3 at some point must have been part of the crime scene, even more so if it was used to transport a body, we know there are "limited evidence", we know we possibly have a body that has been disposed of effectively, we know the police has not been able to charge anyone with anything directly connected to MP disappearance and from there IMO we must deduce (absent evidence to the contrary) that this was not an "on the fly" abduction by a perp who just kills then simply dumps a body, quite the contrary, this perp ties up loose ends quite efficiently, moreover IMO it is entirely possible he has done it before.

Another area would be along 520 which runs between 528 and 1 if I remember correctly. But, a car or truck pulling off the road there would probably draw notice, whereas along the areas where people fish all the time, no one would notice a truck pulling off the road and into the woods as that would be a common sight. Just a thought.

Remember there was a tip from a trucker who claimed he saw DSjr coming out of the woods along 520. It was discussed Back on Thread 8 and a few times since then. Iirc, LE did search along 520. Here's a link to the post which points to BP's interview where this is mentioned:

I agree Dale and his accomplice did a great job pulling this off SO FAR but they have left some KEY evidence behind. Now the trouble lies when Michelle is found.... how good of a job did they do in not leaving ANY evidence to tie them to the crime? She will be found!

If this was planned months in advance which is the way it looks they had the OPPORTUNITY to plan each step. We know Dale knows how to kill and has before, we know how he tortures women and controls them. I wouldn't be surprised if Jr and Sr mimicked what Josh Powell did. Susan hasn't been found yet either...Those Smiths sure are clever criminals....JMO

BP seems like such a noble and respectable guy IMO. He hit the nail on the head early in the case when he said Dale did it....he wasn't fooled for a second! I wonder what Dale thinks of BP. Bet he felt inferior around him...even more so now that he is onto Dale. Maybe that's why we haven't heard of GP and BP seeing the twinners yet. All JMO

Iirc, DSSr posted about the Powell case on his FB about 2 months before Michelle disappeared. I have a screen cap but it's on my other computer and I'm not sure it can be posted here so I'll just say this is JMO for now. But it's been mentioned several times back in these threads.

Now being that Dale is a meth addict couldn't he have carried on all night if he was high on that on the 17th? He could have skipped sleeping and this could have given Dale MUCH more time to hide evidence. From what I have read meth gives you energy and he certainly needed it that day to pull everything off. Yes if you look at his arrest record it's in there and Michelle said he had a problem with drugs and alcohol so IMO it seems he is still an addict. IIRC someone on one of the threads said he tried AA but fell off the band wagon. Does anyone know if he ever went to rehab or is he still dealing with the addiction? TIA

Yes and JMO after speaking with several top officials in the military...it is VERY difficult to get kicked out of the military. You have to really work hard to get thrown out as they do not do this easily....Dale must be ONE BAD SEED to get kicked out. Would love to see those military records. IIRC one of his roommates said he had MAJOR anger problems in the military as well and beat people for no apparent reason and even attacked a pregnant lady on the beach. If you google it you will find the episode I am talking about that happened in Myrtle Beach SC. All JMO

Well if we take Michelle's word that he still had drug and alcohol problems at the time of her disappearance and there is no evidence he sought treatment or help for his addiction...it's not unreasonable to think he may have used drugs for energy to accomplish a 24-48hr sleepless binge while he hid key evidence. Just saying!

I could set my clock by how predictable Dale is...the formula goes a little something like this...someone does something Dale doesn't like, he strikes back, someone does something Dale doesn't like, he strikes back, on and on... Temper, impulse to hurt someone, he hurts someone. Temper, impulse to hurt someone, he hurts someone. It's as simple as wash, rinse, repeat. You see what I mean?

Yep I agree that for what I know, he's a jerk, violent, a felon, probably a bully, ... I know the type ... but then again that does not mean he killed MP ... I think you know that very well, but yes if there's a single, provable piece of fact that can cause people to feel he's guilt is that nasty attitude he seems to have. I hope for his kid's sake he's actually innocent of this and that he changes or there might be another tragedy in the making here.

I agree with you that I hope for his children's sake he wasn't involved...but the evidence seems to indicate otherwise IMO. Do you think he would ever harm his children? I mean a man with that temper when cornered may pull a Josh Powell wouldn't you think? I know GP and YS were concerned about that possibility...
