Jazz must we really talk about Dale's sexuality? What does it really have to do with anything ... it's like .. year 2012 ... most of the world has moved on from that kind of things ... stuff

Well it wasn't always accepted in the military and I still believe Michelle finding Dale with a man was the final straw for their relationship. So to me this COULD be a smoking gun (no pun intended)...For someone like Dale who is SOOOO obsessed with his self image letting others know he is into men might not fly...

Hi Jazz, welcome back ... yes I've come up with a theory ... BTW I really don't think DS did this nor do I think he's even remotely such a bad person, I think he made his share of mistakes when he was younger but I think the evidence show a different person today ... he took responsibility for his children and he's staying out of trouble, I really think he's trying ... and for the sake of his children I wish him luck. However if it turns out he had something to do with MP disappearance then of course, the thinking here would change, but since not even LE is saying he's involved as of today, then I really have no reasons not to at least give him the benefit of the doubt ... which I believe every person in similar circumstances deserve. JMO

Unless you personally know DSJr and have been around him to see how he is behaving, I can't see how you can make a claim that he's a different person today. Do you know for a fact that he has taken responsibility for his children and that he doesn't just leave them with his mother or whomever else he can dump them on all the time? Do you know for a fact that he isn't drinking heavily? Do you know for a fact that he isn't still involved with illegal drugs? Do you know for a fact that he's managed to control his temper in the presence of his children and others? He sure didn't on his way into that court hearing. Now of course he hasn't gotten himself into any trouble with LE or any other females (well at least none that have pressed any charges) since the disappearance but would you really expect any different? He knows they're watching him like a hawk. But what he does in the privacy of his own home is another thing. And I don't think that anyone here can determine what is really going on in his life unless you're living in that house with him. Which you've certainly stated that you're not since you're living pretty far away. LOL

So what factual evidence do we have that DSJr has turned his life around and is doing quite well by his children? Because right up until shortly before Michelle disappeared he was still partying like an 18yr old, failing to keep up with his child support and dragging his ex-fiance through the court system over the money for a ring that he gave her. That was lost in a petty and violent argument that he started out of the blue for no reason other than he was drunk and being argumentative and just plain ignorant to her.

His behaviours aren't just from when he was younger. They continued on until the day Michelle disappeared IMO.

Michelle gave him the benefit of the doubt. On more than one occasion. She is not here today. She disappeared and fell off the radar the moment her vehicle drove up to his condo. That speaks volumes to me.

Dale had a funny way of treating women...they ended up beaten, bruised, or dead. He somehow became fixated on Michelle and IMO couldn't live without her nor could he live with her. So he chose to end her life so no one else could have her. IMO She knew the secrets of his sexuality and he did not want that "out" in the open.

Funny...according to the police report on the domestic violence incident with his second wife, he actually said that to her along with the threat of killing her and then taking his own life. Only it was just her who eventually ended up deceased. Strange co-incidence. :waitasec:

Let me just remake my point that it is my sense that he is not this Evil person some in the public make him out to be. My sense is that his trying his best to take responsibility for his children and his life in general and for the sake of his children I hope this is the case.

As per your question about what I know factually ... is that a court having evaluated all the facts and having heard all available testimony has found the best interest of the children to be in the custody of their father, that both DS's parents and MP's parents have described his relationship with the children as good and caring or otherwise positive, that he has taken responsibility for them after this tragedy and most importantly the fact that he hasn't even been accused of any crimes in connection with MP's disappearance let alone charged and convicted of it, and for me this is not a little detail that I can substitute with whatever I think or feel in my mind. To me this is a question of fairness as I see it while at the same time respecting the opinions of others and their right to express them.

For those reasons and for the sake of those children I wish him well and I hope he can turn his life around unless of course that it turns out he killed MP which would then drastically change my opinion of him.

Well then I can only hope that your "sense" becomes a little more fine tuned when it's time for your own precious daughter to start dating. When that time comes, I hope you realize that google is your friend and teach it to her as well. :wink:

And the evidence presented to the judge in that courtroom was that DFS strongly recommended that the children not be placed with their father, after having interviewed them and reviewing the situation, added to the evidence from Michelle's 11yr old son that he had witnessed DSJr hitting his mother in front of all of the children. Not to mention the evidence of DSJr's criminal past, the violent history between him and Michelle, and current primary suspect designation in her disappearance. And IMO, the fact that he has been named the primary suspect indicates to me that he has been accused, by LE, of having some part in her disappearance and likely death. And while they have not been quoted in the media recently, it is my belief that they still consider that to be the case and he is still the primary suspect.

The fact that one judge chose to go the "biological route" in his ruling, under the letter of the law, disregarding all that evidence, is a basic flaw in the legal system IMO.

I think Michelle's family severely underestimated what Dale was capable of. Many of us have a radar that goes off around certain people. I am sure the radar went off with Dale but to think he would kill your daughter is almost unimaginable until your worst nightmare becomes a reality. How Dale sleeps at night knowing what he did is beyond me...

She put up with him cheating on her with at least 7 women he found on Craig's list. He runs around like a Brokeback Cowboy so I believe she caught him messing around with a guy he met online and that is when she ended the relationship. I could be wrong but that is just my read based on my experiences of spending hundreds of hours on this case. All jmo but thanks for asking...
