I mentioned this before but maybe she had an ensuite and he was hiding and she had a shower (as it’s reported she had) and then while she was showering he blocked her bedroom door. Ugh - this is all so terrible to even think!

I think I'm having a mental block. The door was blocked, we're still not sure if it was blocked from the outside of the bedroom or the inside but from comments it seems most think the inside of the bedroom. HOW, the heck did he get her out, window or no window and kept that door blocked, and for that matter, blocked with what? I really wish he didn't commit suicide and they could have talked to this guy! UGH

Yes true - I assumed it was blocked from the inside but it could have been from the outside as well!

This is my first post. I just read all of the comments and I must say I'm impressed with y'all's dedication. So, I signed up to make a comment regarding the video that shows the POI carrying what was reported to be what is believed to be Miya's pink blanket on Saturday morning. The location of the video is from the San Jose Apartments, San Jose Circle, Winter Park. If you google it, you will see a photo of the apartment complex that matches what is seen in the video. A lot of people were asking who took the video. WESH news says the video was given to them. There is another video out there with one of the girl's relatives who said she had a conversation with the POI on Saturday morning. I'm putting two and two together and I'm thinking the family figured out where he lived and took the video of the POI on Saturday morning. I don't know where the POI lived and can't find proof he lived at the San Jose Apartments on San Jose Circle in Winter Park. If the POI didn't live there, then what was he doing there and why is he holding blue gloves, a pink blanket and a black backpack? This could help determine Miya's location. I am commenting on my original post (above). I believe the video was taken on Saturday morning, and Miya's relative had her conversation with the POI on Saturday evening, not Saturday morning as I mentioned in my original post. I went back and reviewed previous comments on Twitter and discovered a reference to a Saturday evening conversation. The relative mentioned something about the POI turning off his lights. I still feel like the relative took the video. Maybe someone can post more on this. Every detail matters. Also, I'm hoping someone knows why the POI was at the San Jose Apartments. Was that his residence?

I have also read a relative took the video, but take that with a grain of salt because I can't post the link due to TOS here. Also upthread it mentions he used to work at SJ apartments (probably why he knew about the maintenance room where the paint was stored and where he hung himself), but lived in Winter Garden. Hopefully someone will correct me if my memory has gone south.

This is my thought - I checked the apartment layouts and since he entered through her front door (only entrance) with the master fob- I think he was hiding somewhere then when she walked in to her bedroom - perhaps to shower before her flight home - he blocked the door from the inside with a dresser then attacked her knocking her to the bed with a sharp blow to her head - it may have stunned her - and held her there until the middle of the night maybe 3am or so? Then put her out the window wrapped in her blanket and then climbed out himself? All speculation - where is she now?

Oh such sad news. Where is poor Miya? Man I wish the POI would have left a suicide note that told LE those details. I can't imagine the pain Miya's family is going through right now.

I noticed on this flyer it mentions that "she was thought to have showered before she was taken"? Wonder why they thought this - were wet towels found in the bathroom etc.? Did he hide in the apartment and wait for her to get in the shower? IF there were wet towels did HE take a shower to remove evidence?

Wayyy too much speculation swirling in my little mind tonight!

In the press conference the Sheriff said the POI had only worked at the apartments since June. It would be interesting to know where he worked previously and if there were any "incidents" there (also with any ex GF). As in any previous harassment/stalker claims?

I'm no good with court records but this looks like there was a 2013 arrest, then a violation of parole 2017. Hopefully someone here can come up with better and more complete info:

UGH...he is (was) bad news. My heart is broken for this young lady. I am paranoid all the time now for my daughter's safety. We have LIFE 360 which has somewhat eased my constant worrying. I find myself looking over my shoulders ALL the time, everywhere I go. No way to live .

Here's something else I just read that you might want to add to your timeline thread. This was the first time I've read that the POI was "seen" letting himself into her apt. and I don't know if the POI was "seen" on a video or if the POI was seen by someone (in person).

I had not read anything yet about the above post (i.e., the relatives seeing the POI in the area of Miya's window and also speaking with him 3:30-4am Saturday). If that is indeed true, that is super important because that means Miya couldn't have been in her apartment anytime after that. The POI's timeframe for moving Miya was pretty short: only from 5PM Friday night until the relatives arrived at 3:30-4am Saturday (middle of the night). And it could also explain why the relatives became suspicious enough to then locate the Winter Park San Jose Apts (the possible residence of a relative), then drive there and take that video on Saturday morning. The address list for San Jose Apts lists someone with the POI's last name, but not his first. It's easy to Google. And if it wasn't the relatives who took the video, maybe it was someone else who suspected the POI and took that video on Saturday AM and turned it over to WESH. I'm guessing the POI felt the heat very early in the investigation, giving him that very narrow timeframe to move Miya.

Also, it’s possible … she was in his car when the family was there at 3:30 am. I’m not sure of the exact time they gained entrance to her apartment but it was close to that time. What we he go back for if he had moved her between 5pm and 3:30 am?

Yes, I have some great memories of Orlando but was the victim of a violent crime that propelled me to leave actually. :/

So it wasn't LE but the family who wasn't there until IIRC the next day. I don't want to make this about me but for example: I refuse to use a towel more then once EVER. That includes all towels/wash clothes etc. I change hand towels in my bathroom and kitchen daily. This is not related to Covid, It's just me. My kids went to college and they didn't want to do laundry as often as I do so they would use a towel etc more then once. Maybe she didn't want to do laundry as often so she used it more then once. How would the parents know that? Was it wet/damp? I'm honestly asking and I'm sorry if I went O/T a bit.

No, this is a good question. This was another issue in the Jennifer Kesse case too - did she shower or not and when?
It’s pretty humid there so maybe the towel wouldn’t have completely dried anyways depending on the AC situation in her suite. Maybe she had a routine too that they know and could tell?
