Or he knew her routine. We have no clue how many times he was in her place prior to all of this.

I don't think we know what level Miya's apartment was yet though. If it was the second floor I can't see how he could have left through the window with Miya.

I don't even know how he could have moved her out of a ground floor window. He was a big guy and he would have had to go out the window, too, if they found the door blocked from the inside.
 
The reviews for the apartments mentioned a couple of times how thin the walls are.

Those apartments are pretty small so he must have hid in the en-suite and subdued her quickly, otherwise there would have been a lot of noise coming from her room for someone not to notice.

One thing I did read in the reviews was that when maintenance came to fix something they would sometimes enter without warning. These reviews were before Armando's time but could be a reason why someone saw him go in but didn't question it (if that statement is in fact accurate).

Or DNA / evidence on the window or directly outside the window
 
In terms of other residents hearing/not hearing anything - the initial encounter probably happened around 5 PM or so on that Friday, correct? She gets off work at 430, he lets himself in around 430, and we assume she went straight home to her apartment.

430-5 on a Friday may be a time of day not many residents are home. A lot of people may still be at work or just leaving work, lots of folks go to Happy Hour after work on Friday, etc. I am not saying nobody was home, but it may be one of the times of the week that the least amount of people are at home. And like was posited, he probably subdued her quickly, so the window of time for lots of noise was very small IMO.

I’m also thinking along those lines. On the other hand, could the blocked door/open window part be something he staged after the fact? A lame attempt to throw off investigators? Making it look like a stranger abduction through the window, rather than someone using a master key to enter the apartment.

My thoughts and prayers are with Miya’s family. This is a nightmare.

If he had access to the building - he could have observed her routine from afar, not needing to enter her apartment to do that, JMO. She seemed like someone who had a set routine too, down to always calling her family and keeping in touch with them. I'm guessing he spent a week watching her closely, even trying to get as physically close to her every time he had made an advance. Who knows if he went into other tenants homes when they weren't home to see if he could watch her from there or even be next door to HEAR her.

This is an absolute nightmare for her family and I am praying they find her soon. Anything from OCSO about the car/phone of the POI? Where he went, where he was? No friends coming out of the woodwork with info they might have?
 
They should do a complete history on his master key to see how many apartments he has let himself in to. I'm wondering if he set up cameras in these women's apartments. It's also another way of getting to know someone's routine. With all the disturbing information coming out about him I would question every move he made on the complex property. Entering apartments without a maintenance work order for that specific apt. I think he's a big enough creep to do something like that.

It's depressing that women have to sit around and brainstorm on ways to be safe just doing normal every day things. I was thinking women shouldn't be required to have permits or whatever to carry. Or maybe employers should HAVE to pay for self-defense classes for all women that work for them.

Also upthread it mentions he used to work at SJ apartments (probably why he knew about the maintenance room where the paint was stored and where he hung himself), but lived in Winter Garden. Hopefully someone will correct me if my memory has gone south.

Just to clear up some confusion- San Jose apartments are not where POI hung himself/was found dead. San Jose apartments appear to be where the video of POI exiting his car with a pink blanket believed to be Miya’s and black backpack was filmed.
POI’s body was found at Sabal Club apartments in Longwood, Seminole Co. Person of interest in woman’s disappearance found dead, Orange County sheriff says
