I saw another poster say something similar. Did I miss an article about other victims, or is this based on the Aggravated Assault charge?

"The maintenance worker suspected in the disappearance of 19-year-old Miya Marcano asked her family about her whereabouts while they were looking for her before it was made public that she had gone missing from her Orlando apartment complex last week, the vanished woman's distraught relatives said.

When the family arrived at the Arden Villas apartments, where Marcano lived, on Saturday morning to look for her, they said they encountered Armando Caballero outside.

'He was trying to leave. His lights were off. He said, "Are you looking for Miya?" I said, "Who are you?" He said, "I’m the maintenance guy. I heard you’re looking for me,"' Marcano's aunt Semone Westmaas told The Sun.

Marcano's father, Marlon, then asked Caballero if he had been in contact with her, and her cousin Callie Sue said he appeared 'quite nervous.'

Sue told the outlet that the interactions had seemed 'weird' because they had not yet announced Marcano had disappeared."

Unbelievable how many red flags there were now that details are coming out. So many mistakes in hiring this one employee. Poor Miya. Those other victims of this creep must feel so sad, scared and wondering who else is in the vicinity that hasn't been vetted? Who else is entering their unit and rifling thru their stuff?

This is so scary and really hits home for me. We had a scary experience with the maintenance man in my daughter's apt complex when she was 20. She had 2 roommates and this maintenance guy was very 'helpful' when the girls moved in. She talked about him a couple of times and it seemed weird to me that he spent so much time fixing things for them. And hanging out in their apartment.

I warned the girls about him and they rolled their eyes of course---and laughed and said they wanted him to come around and help them. He helped them move some heavy furniture around, etc, which seemed odd to me. That's not his job. Then he started coming around at night with wine and joints, asking if they wanted to party. I went to the management when I learned about that. He was yelled at but not fired so then he was angry. So maybe I screwed up---but I wasn't comfortable with a 30 yr old bringing alcohol to 3 single 20 year old girls, living alone there.

It freaked me out that he had a key to their place. .....We ended up bribing the girls to move to another complex. We got out of the lease by threatening to sue for their employee bringing wine and pot to the apartment. They thought I was over reacting but I got a really bad vibe from him. Reading this case gave me the chills.

It’s about an hour away… He was found in Longwood.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — In March, the primary suspect in Miya Marcano’s disappearance was accused of throwing something through a woman’s window after she turned him down for a date.

It happened in the same complex near Longwood where Armando Caballero was found dead on Monday.

Oh my gosh this poor family. Encountering him in this way right after they can’t find her just adds another level of pain and what if’s honestly.

A candlelight vigil tonight for Miya Marcano, who was last seen a week ago tonight. Family has said there will be a vigil every night until she is found. People are being asked to wear blue.

Miya Marcano: Orange County deputies continue big search effort in New Smyrna

Friday marks one week missing

As the sun rose over the seventh day since Miya Marcano disappeared from her home near Orlando, dozens of Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at a field in New Smyrna Beach to continue in the search for her.

Deputies were first led near the Intracoastal in south Volusia County, about 50 miles from Miya's apartment, by cellphone evidence.

The Sheriff's Office set up a command post near the South Causeway on Thursday. Work there resumed before 8 a.m. Friday.

Miya's family was told 27-year-old Armando Caballero's cellphone registered in the area sometime after Miya was last seen, which was one week ago.

The sheriff said Caballero does not have a lengthy criminal history and mentioned a former burglary charge in Polk County.
