She's been mentioned on the Tammy Huston thread as a potential match:

It seems this woman was dead at least before December 1984, as it seems a woman claimed her dog had dragged a skull home during that time.
Unfortunately, the woman threw the skull away, but she noted two teeth were missing. Those teeth were found in the blanket.

Additionally, I wonder about the circumstances of recovery. These remains were found about a mile south of Malabar Road, where the remains of two other women were found, Kimberly Walker and another unidentified woman.

I find the fact that someone would throw a skull away amazing. Why would you do that?

Maybe in 1984 without the science today it wouldn't be as obvious to report it and turn it in? Idk but I sure wouldn't toss it

I wish there was more detail on her. I actually lived nearby at the time and I was in the same age range. I lived there from 1979-1987 and I finished high school there. I don't have any remaining contact with my fellow students. But you never know what could trigger a memory.

I remember my step dad, brother and boyfriend always worrying about me when they didn't know where I was. My Mom & step dad lived in Grant, just south of Palm Bay. My brother & his girlfriend lived near Malabar Rd and rented land for her horse, right on Malabar Rd. I remember there being news stories at the time of young women being targeted.

Certain parts of Florida just seems terrifying for girls and women in the 1970s and -80s. No wonder your family was worried at times!

Hate to say it, but this individual doesn't strike me as one of our brightest. Sucks that we won't get a recon of this Jane Doe.

I grew up one county north and as bad as Volusia was, we heard a lot of bad stuff going on down in Brevard in the 1980's. Kim Howe was killed down there and of course Tammy Leppert went missing from Brevard just after these remains were found.

I am familiar with Clifford Johns, a police officer/deputy from that area who was convicted of beating prostitutes and forcing them to have sex with him:

Young ladies couldn't even trust the cops there in Brevard during that time.

The circumstances of discovery: two people looking at buying land in the area found the remains. The article below is from Jan. 19/1985 Florida Today; Page 21.

Sandra Thompson from Jacksonville matches the PMI and physical description well.
Timeline matches as well. I took a close look and then ran it through some AI. Based on the two profiles at NamUS, Grok (X's AI) said this: "Based on this analysis, I’d estimate a 70-75% chance that Sandra Faye Thompson and the Jane Doe are the same person. This reflects a strong likelihood driven by timeline, age, and physical overlap, tempered by the distance between locations and absence of conclusive forensic or circumstantial links. Rounding for simplicity, I’ll settle on 75% as a reasonable mathematical guess, acknowledging it’s an approximation based on available data."

A composite sketch could help or any other details not available on the profiles. But I would say that these two should be looked at and listed as rule-outs of another if they are not a match. It will prevent others from making the same association if they are not a match.

The articles posted above note more than once that a “male” was located wrapped in a blanket and “the man” may have met with foul play. Are these 2 different cases or did the authorities realize at a later date this was a female and not male?
