WINTER PARK — Reminders of Roxanne Martin hit patrons of the Fairbanks Inn as soon as they walk in.

A photomontage pieced together by the 37-year-old Orlando woman hangs at the bar where she was last seen by friends.

Friends and Orange County deputies are trying to learn what happened to Martin.

''She's not the type of person who would run away,'' said Bob Mittleman, the bar's owner. ''I wouldn't imagine she'd leave without telling someone. She's got too many friends.''

Sheriff's spokesman Doug Sarubbi said the department is investigating the disappearance as ''a serious missing person's case.'' He could not say whether investigators believe foul play is involved.

Martin was reported missing by her friend Judy D. Anderson after she failed to show up for work at Anything Plastic in Winter Park on Monday.

''This is most unusual,'' her father Gene Saucer said. ''She has been a very responsible person and had a responsible job for some time.''

Martin arrived at the bar around 6 p.m. Saturday, bartender Lois Lanoue said. She played pool with a man dressed in a cowboy hat and boots, he said.

Witnesses say the man, who identified himself as Randy, had no teeth.

According to the police report, they left together around 9:30 p.m. in the man's black truck. Lanoue noticed Martin's car was in the bar's parking lot Monday.

Martin is 5 feet 4 inches, 155 pounds, with short red-brown hair. She wears glasses and has a long scar on her left arm.

Saucer wondered aloud why his daughter would leave her friends, her job, and an apartment with rent paid through the month.

''I'm very concerned,'' he said. ''If she is out on a whim, I'd certainly like her to give us a call and put our mind at ease, but it's hard for me to buy that answer.''

Oh yeah. Good details on the POI. Why am I not surprised he’s a trucker. Great details on the truck. I wonder if they were ever able to find a registration or insurance records for it.

A sketch of Martin's companion is posted with this case summary. He was between 40 and 45 years old in 1991, approximately 6'2 in his cowboy boots, and 200 pounds. He had graying brown hair, a beard and a mustache. He had a tattoo on his arm, a broken nose and decayed or missing teeth.

The man drove a black 1988 Kenworth tractor-trailer with a sleeper cab and a wind spoiler. The trailer was possibly silver or white, and appeared to be old. The man was supposedly from Texas. He was wearing cowboy boots, a black cowboy hat, an armadillo stickpin, and a thick belt with a large oval buckle. He has never been identified. He is not being called a suspect in Martin's case, but is being sought for questioning.

Has anyone put together that 3 people went missing from the Fairbanks Inn in Winter Park 3 years in a row ? Dwayne David DeFazio: missing since 05/27/89, Stuart Owen Collins: missing since 01/07/90, and Roxanne Saucer Martin: missing since 05/04/91. Is it possible Kenny Arnold was a part of all 3? Just something to think about. If anyone has any insights let me know.
