I don't know what I expected from the cross exam of SB but it wasn't the little I got, unfortunately. Maybe the state was limited in what it could address, I don't know but I am disappointed.

Agree, I don’t think they made an impact. There has to be a strategy for that because they could have objected to many things. I hope there is. They could have kept questioning her to exhaust her and to make her trip up on her stories.

It was very obvious to me that she was intentionally being difficult on cross. I hope the jurors could determine that.

I've watched quite a bit but not all of the trial so far. I'm currently watching her direct testimony and have not watched cross examination yet. I believe Sarah. I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I think she did not murder him and at most she is negligent homicide/manslaughter. This honestly looks like a death that wasn't premeditated and alcohol with a history of abuse. I don't understand the vitriol towards Sarah. Although she might be a complete mess and , that doesn't mean she should be found guilty of murder here IMO. Happy to have others discuss this issue and my opinion might change after cross etc.

Agree - she's coming off as sociopathic and dangerous IMO.

If she'd have got sober and got some perspective in jail and worked a recovery from the chaos and addiction, she'd be able to be held accountable and would be open and frank about how bad things had got and the tragedy of where it's all landed up. Also she would have taken the plea deal because it's overtly the best legal outcome and most rational and sane thing to do but she just can't get there due to her sickness of the mind IMO.

Some people who are addicts behave criminally as if they're truly antisocial and have no conscience, when they get clean they get well. SB on the other hand behaves as if she's an alcoholic whilst having this underlying personality so when she gets sober it makes no difference to her toxic thinking IMO.

So far, we've had two officers on the stand who responded to calls.

First one described injuries, no arrest. [Correcting myself, not sure I heard it right. Both arrested maybe?]

Second one, describes injuries to both, JT arrested.

Both excused.

Defense has recalled the detective, questioning her about what the neighbor told her that SB told him. Prior incident where SB says JT pulled her by the hair down the stairs.

Defense asks if the neighbor ever said anything about Sarah saying the incident was an accident and she was teaching him a lesson, things got out of hand and she fell asleep.

Asks witness if she sees that in the report of the neighbor's. No to accident, no to teaching a lesson, no to out of hand. Yes to passed out.

No cross, witness dismissed.

Next up a doctor.
