In rejecting the plea offer, Judge made it clear to SB what she was giving up, and there was no turning back!

"no turning back"
Thanks for clearing that up.

I remember reading when LE would somehow contact wanted fugitives that they won something and to pick it up go to such and such place.
Once there they'd be arrested.

Or did I dream this? lol
I think it was an episode of the Sopranos, and everybody was "in" on what was happening. ;)

If it's to arrest rightaway, that's fine. If it's to question them, that can be a problem. IMO

I found it.

Operation Flagship was a sting operation jointly organized by the United States Marshals Service and the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. that resulted in the arrest of 101 wanted fugitives on December 15, 1985.

The fugitives voluntarily went to the Washington Convention Center, responding to an invite sent by a fictitious television company, to claim two free tickets to watch the Washington Redskins American football home game against the Cincinnati Bengals and for a chance to win tickets to Super Bowl XX. A total of 166 marshals and police officers were involved in the operation, with undercover personnel posing as tuxedo-wearing ushers, cheerleaders, emcees, caterers, mascots, and maintenance staff.

The operation has been hailed as one of the largest and most successful mass arrests of fugitives by U.S. law enforcement.<a href="Operation Flagship - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>1<span>]</span></a><a href="Operation Flagship - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>2<span>]</span></a><a href="Operation Flagship - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>3<span>]</span></a>

I would expect a few antics from Boone and her travelling circus of unpaid lawyers before the big girl prison key locks behind her.

I know they took the case, but I do feel a little bad for the attorneys. She is her own brand of crazy and hasn't given them a lot to work with!

I hadn't thought of that.
Wouldn't this have been addressed and settled long before Owens arrived?
She had 8 other attorneys.

Besides publicity for the taking on a known toxic client with horrific evidence against her I can't think of any rational reason for them to represent her.

Yes this kind of thing is usually squared off before the trial or it comes up during appeals. Her pre-trials were a mess so who knows. But it's good on the attorney to bring it up. MOO

I have seen one case where they bring you in for questioning, then drop you off at home. Then 1 hr later come back and arrest you after reading rights. That way it's very clean

I'm sure the suspect was read their Miranda rights when being questioned too even though they were allowed to leave. This is standard, and to allow police to use your statements. They likely returned to arrest him when they had the signed arrest warrant in hand.

It’s has been done in real life. You didn’t dream it!

SB's testimony is going to be tiring. She still has to prove the elements of self defense before she can call any experts on battered spouse syndrome.

I'm afraid we are going to end up with Boone vs Owens where SB forgets she's the defendant and Owens is not the person on trial. JMO

Defense has a couple of issues.

I'm sorry, bit SB's dramatic pirouette when the chains are removed -- it's like she's imagining her coronation sash is being placed. But it's emperor's new clothes and she has no idea.

Ugh. Owens is now arguing for bringing in prior bad acts prior to the overt bad act.

Haven't we been here before?

He's like a broken record. Bringing up the same thing over and over after the judge has already ruled.

His motion is denied. Owens looks really grumpy.
