Judge had to fix typos which caused the delay.

Judge found typos, that's the delay.

That is certainly a possibility. I can see some jurors getting hung up on the choice between the different charges.
On the lower charges anyone know how soon she can be let out?
I assume the 4+ yrs will be taken off her time.

Typos in the jury instructions and having to reprint, so says the Judge

SB testified it was a broken suitcase and she had the suitcase out because they'd been cleaning the townhome and she was purging things and intended to donate the suitcase with other household things she had put inside.
Sarah, no one wants your old suitcase filled with debris from your home.

Sarah, no one believes that's why it was out.

From what I recall, it contained some clothing, some papers, a medication syringe... as if someone started to pack...

I think 2nd degree in FL starts at 16.75 years. MOO

Here are the charges. Jury can go for a lesser charge, if not second degree murder
Second degree murder
Lesser charge: manslaughter
Lesser charge: Culpable negligence

The state agreed yesterday to 3 charges for the jury.
2nd degree and was one of them involuntary manslaughter?

The forensic expert (Ms. Roughgarden) who testified said it had paperwork, a baseball cap, some other miscellaneous clothing items, and Jorge's medication syringe.

When Sarah testified, she said the suitcase belonged to Jorge and she had purchased it for him when he took a trip to visit his family in Pennsylvania.

OMG!
His papers and meds.
Yep he was leaving
Did the state jump on that asking SB why were those items in the case when it for for donations.?
2 of the most important things for Jorge to have and take with him.

Judge was making arrangements for the Jurors to deliberate until 9pm on Friday? Is this still on, I wonder? I don't think the Court anticipated the jury instructions and stipulations would take all morning.

Also, I wonder if any jurors dismissed following the DV demonstration-- i.e., the juror who did not self report viewing the incident.

Does Florida have a separate sentencing phase or is inmate immediately sentenced following verdict/conviction-- I forget?

Personally, I think this trial was about 8 hours too long for my psyche. I'm aware that DV is not a joke and many victims suffer silently but this case was also an awakening about the stereotype and profiling of JT as the abuser by both LE and JT himself. He repeatedly took the blame for SB, and it cost him his life.

My condolences to his family. We hear you. #Justice for Jorge. :(

Based on the videos that SB herself filmed, I imagine a day of drinking deteriorated into SB chiding/berating JT to get out, and if he started packing, berating him for that.

I recall JT saying to SB, "the malfunction is you". He couldn't stay or go, she'd fight him either way. Pick your cluster.

IMO he was packing his things into a broken suitcase because she told him to leave, he tried to oblige and she went Full Cluster that he didn't love her enough to stay.

But had he gotten away, she'd have called the police over the stolen suitcase.

SB is the cycle.

No jurors dismissed.

Remember, besides the suitcase videos she wanted the police to go through and watch the videos of Jorge on her phone. What we saw from her cell phone yesterday was what she wanted other people to see because she thought it proved her point that he was abusive and she was a victim.
She is the only one who can see herself the way she presents herself LOL
