Jury selection underway for security guard accused of killing Orlando woman

http://www.wftv.com/news/local/jury-selection-underway-for-security-guard-accused-of-killing-orlando-woman/646746810

Many potential jurors were dismissed because they've heard about the high-profile case. Other potential jurors recognized Duxbury's attorney, Cheney Mason, who represented Casey Anthony.

Jury selection continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Eyewitness News will live stream the trial when a jury is seated.

Yep, I have personal experience with that. Also, if you live in an apt always have an interior lock on the door so that anybody else with a key (maintenance, security, mgt, etc) cannot enter if you are inside.

These are the opening statements..archived on youtube - . LadyJustice2188 is the person uploading them on YouTube. It appears the entire trial will be uploaded.

I am so happy this guy is going to trial. Its been just over two years since I learned of this case and created a thread here for it. I wish it had attracted more attention.. but I am glad that Sasha's family will be getting justice.. and regardless of the verdict, this guy has to face public scrutiny for his actions.

I don’t know if anyone is watching, but it’s going well I think.

Owner of her apartment until on the stand now. Talking about the code to get into her apartment.

So I thought it was interesting that the court was reading questions from the juror to the witnesses. I hadn’t seen that before in Florida. I looked it up and this is what I found:

http://www.juryblog.com/resources/for-florida-lawyers/the-jurors-rights/jurors-bill-of-rights/

I have seen it in other states and other trials and I have always liked it.

I think it makes this case pretty interesting to hear what the jury maybe didn’t understand or want to hear again LOL

I find it really annoying that the judge is not pronouncing Sasha’s name correctly. She’s saying it like a “sash”. Nobody else is saying it that way so I’m assuming her way is incorrect, but maybe not.

We now have a forensic pathologist on the stand. Explains the difference between a pathologist and forensic pathologist.

He performed the autopsy on Sasha

Cheney just crossed one of the police officers that entered the apartment and found her. He sounded awful- like old and hard to get his words out- like out of breath LOL.

I liked the jury question about whether the supposed caucasian male reported by Stephen Duxbury was ever seen on videotape. The answer was no.

I️ too am surprised that there isn’t more interest in this case! I️ guess it’s a busy week with the holiday. I️ have been wrapped up in Adam Matos so I️ couldn’t post, but I’ve been watching it.

I’m a little behind, but hope to catch up before they finish LOL
