Imagine the terror of lying there, while one by one he executed them. Innocent lives, ended by a demented lunatic.

Years ago I was an employee of a flower shop and we were robbed at gunpoint point. Ten of us us lay on the floor listening to a masked male tell us he would send flowers to our funeral. He fired a shot into the ceiling because I was on the phone not aware of the in progress robbery. I temremem laying next to a coworker who was pregnant. We all layed there while he took the money from the register and then in the back room. It was Valetine's day early 1980's maybe 84. Back then they just robbed you and left. Now it is not about money. No I can't imagine what went through their minds. Only hope they felt some peace but I know they probably knew their their fate.

The death penalty is the only logical outcome for this case. I don't care if one is anti death penalty or not, if there was a case that has execution written all over it. I don't believe there is a clear motive, I just think he wanted to kill people and kill many.

The only good news here is it's not California, where delays of 5-7 years are now common, with hundreds of hearings, motions, continuances, etc before a jury is seated.

Another bit of good news is this is Florida, where the death penalty is enforced with relative speed. He will not grow old in prison as he would in California. He will have his date with the needle and won't be smirking at that time.

SEBRING, Fla. - It's been three years since five people were gunned down at a bank in Sebring, and their families are still waiting for justice. Friday, a judge decided to delay the trial but wants a date to be scheduled before the year is over.

The lawyers for the suspect, Zephen Xaver, hoped to push the trial back due to the assistant public defender's personal medical issues. However, the state was strongly against it, saying that there has been a co-counsel on board since the beginning of this case – and they should be prepared to head to trial as scheduled on May 2.

However, the judge agreed with the defense, but noted that a trial date must be scheduled before the end of the year.
