5-year-old boy with autism reported missing in Belle Glade found dead

Deputies said they had used sonar to locate the boy underwater near where he went missing.

BELLE GLADE, Fla. —
A five-year-old boy with autism went missing in Belle Glade around 6 p.m. today.

The boy’s aunt identified him as Siyoga Murphy Jr.


According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was playing with his sister at Pioneer Park in Belle Glade around 6 p.m. The girl turned around, and the boy was gone, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office has deployed a number of resources, including their helicopter, search and rescue, dive team, search dog and sonar.

Autistic boy, 5, living near water missing, PBSO says

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 5-year-old autistic boy, Siyoga Murphy Jr., who lives near water in Belle Glade.

On Monday night, PBSO said the child lives in an area surrounded by water. They are using every available resource to find the child.
