BELLE GLADE, Fla. —
A five-year-old boy with autism went missing in Belle Glade around 6 p.m. today.

The boy’s aunt identified him as Siyoga Murphy Jr.


According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was playing with his sister at Pioneer Park in Belle Glade around 6 p.m. The girl turned around, and the boy was gone, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office has deployed a number of resources, including their helicopter, search and rescue, dive team, search dog and sonar.


On Monday night, PBSO said the child lives in an area surrounded by water. They are using every available resource to find the child.

BELLE GLADE, Fla. —
A five-year-old boy with autism who went missing in Belle Glade around 6 p.m. today was found dead around 11 p.m. Deputies said they had used sonar to locate the boy underwater. They found his body in the water near where he went missing.

Autistic children are often drawn to water. I can't count the number of them that are found this way. Poor baby and his family.
