Please correct me if I am wrong but I would think that these kind of commercial use dumpsters have different haulers as opposed to residential carriers.

If I am not badly mistaken, they said last night on NG that they have identified the specific dumpster Somer was placed in.

I watched the 10 pm replay and heard nothing like that. Just that they know it was from Somer's neighborhood because of the trash surrounding her.

I am one of those parents whom has always thought it was ridiculous for children to have cell phones. When I was growing up, those things such as cell phones, and cars, and such came from your first hard working job..
After all of this, I realize the importance of them..My oldest son 16, does have one but I think it is time now to get the other 3 one..14, 12, and 10..
It is terribly sad when a parent must turn down the teachings we once got about working hard for the luxuries of life, it goes to show how bad this world has gotten.
I can't help but think how much different this could all be if Somer had her own cell phone..

If nothing else good comes out of this, Somer's situation did wake me up as a parent..
I'd rather go ahead and buy cell phones now, then someday wish I had of.
OMG what is this world coming to?

Most of the members here know our situation with our granddaughters. After our son's death in 05 we had to go to court and file for grand parental rights to be able to see them. Their mom is in bad shape and has been for years but she manages to stay just inside the line where CPS is concerned and is a master manipulator. She puts the girl's in very dangerous situations with her house constantly full of drug scum. Different bed mates every other day etc. both male & female and the girl's pretty much fend for themselves.
We finally (after almost 4 years) got visitation this past summer...for the whole summer. Needless to say, before we sent them back to their own private hell, we bought them cell phones. It's well worth the $70.00 a month to know they can call us or call for help anytime they need to.
Peace of mind= priceless.

This is an interesting read..

*snipped*

So give me your deductions, Pat Brown. Who do you think is responsible? Use all that gray matter you`ve got up there and tell me what you think.

PAT BROWN, CRIMINAL PROFILER, AUTHOR OF "KILLING FOR SPORT": Well, I do agree with the police that it is a local person.

GRACE: Why?

BROWN: Somebody right around.

GRACE: Wait. Wait there, why?

BROWN: Absolutely. Because, first of all, for somebody had a window of opportunity to grab her. I don`t believe he had a vehicle, he`s coming through town where he could have taken her and then zipped right out of town 10, 20, 30 miles and thrown her body in a ditch some place. This guy had to throw her in a dumpster right there. That means he had -- really no way to move it some place else.

GRACE: Why? Why? Why are you saying it was too far away from an interstate? Why?

BROWN: He may not have had a vehicle, that`s one possibility. Or he may have -- just not had time to leave. He had -- maybe he`s doing this on his -- he had to go home perhaps. Somebody expected him. He had to go to work.

GRACE: You know your theory is corroborated by the fact that her body was likely disposed of right there in the area.

BROWN: Exactly.

GRACE: Because that trash was from the neighborhood trash. Yes, it traveled 55 miles to the north, but it came from that neighborhood.

Hi there , have you ever heard of an indigo child? Is this new world language for a gifted or a child with ADD? I would value your input. Thank you

I know you didn't ask me, but I have heard of Indigo Child before this case. Friends (more than one) have told me that I should read up on it because they have felt that my son is one. He is gifted and he has ADD.

We've always said that he is an "old soul". By that I mean, he just knows things that kids his age do not, things that only someone far older would have experienced and understood. He grasps concepts that even some adults do not.

I'm not a very spiritual person (I've only just looked at the astrology thread today on this case, for example) but more than once I've thought that my beloved late grandfather is in this boy's head.

Have I read up on it? No.

While I'm at it, I can tell you that by the age of 7 he definitely would have used the word "renovation". I think more because it is a word that I would use. I can see that if I lived in the neighborhood I might comment on that home as I drove past it. I might say, "Oh look, they are finally renovating the house that had the fire." to my kids. And then, in turn, they would most likely mimic my words.

So, to me, it's not about would Somer have used that word, it's more about, would DT use that word.

Hi everyone...

I am glad that the bathroom is being discussed....I am positive that on one of the news links originally in this forum it was mentioned that evidence was taken from the public toilet across the road....(american term I think is bathroom/restroom...I am from australia)

This means that either somer or the perp or both were in that bathroom at some time...yucky I know......

Also in the link to some news bulletin about a page back it mentioned that a group was protesting against sexual predators and wanted to use Somers murder as an example......I dont know if I have missed it but has it been disclosed that she was sexually assaulted???? she still may have been accidentally hit by a car.....to me this is jumping the gun unless something more is know locally or by authorities leading this protest.....

just a bit of a thought

Is there anyone who can tell me for certain that DT's oldest son lives with her? At first I heard he didn't then that he does. Can someone post a link where it says that he lives with her or one that says he doesn't? TIA

We seem to go back and forth on that New1. Personally, I can't find anything to prove it conclusively one way or the other.

Okay, Kyle maybe this is his first strike at this kind of crime, waited for the others on the site to leave. I want to know more about him.

When I do a reverse address lookup on white pages for the neighbors address at 1070 i get an older couple with a very common name.

I can't figure it out either.

I can't figure it out either.

I need more clues.

Are we branching off of the neighbor behind with the boys - or the neighbor to the side with the Halloweenish name? Help I've found nothin.

I am going to surmise that the kids walked on the opposite side of the street from the park on the way home. In other words, they walked on the 1080 Gano house side of the street and not the park side of the street. Because if they walked on the park side of the street, one would think LE would have torn the park apart and not the house.

That said, I keep reading about Somer actually being in the park at some point with the perp. How could that have occurred? How could the perp get her across that busy street unnoticed by a single soul?

If the crime occurred in the 1080 Gano home and the perp did not have a vehicle, it would seem to me the park dumpster would be the most likely place - in the middle of the night, of course.

Do we know if the park dumpster was picked up on the day they searched the garbage trucks. Was the dumpster checked by dogs?

Do we know that the "evidence" taken from the public restroom means anything at all? Did I miss something about it?

In my opinion just because they removed items, it doesn't mean it's connected to Somer, but rather "could be" and thus would need to be taken and tested.
I think common sense is to take anything and everything that could possible contain useful material for forensics. I don't think LE taking items from the restroom clearly indicates Somer or the perp were in the restroom.

On a different note, I really wish LE would go back to giving daily pressers and more information. IMO They are being too tight lipped about this and it's going to put the local community at ease again.

RIP beautiful Somer.

I do too.

I'm wondering if there were two or more workers at the house - that drove there together? Maybe a couple of them leave to get food or supplies or something , leaving one there alone for a while. Something happens during that time - she is hastily stashed before the others get back - and the perp has to ride home with them - no car of his own?

other neighbor gator

Morning, Shutterfly. Thanks to your post that I just happened to see right before I *was* going to bed ... I've been up since then trying to figure out who you were referring to and still haven't figured it out. Some sleuth I am, huh? ;)

Somehow I came up with some guy with the last name "Jones", and started searching some aliases. I'm pretty sure it's not who you were referring to. Aywho .... it is okay to post names of sexual predators, isn't it?

Because this guy that I just stumbled upon, just happened to be one, and he just happened to be arrested on 10/29 and is now in the Duval County Jail.
Hmmm....

Also, he just happens to have an eye that looks like it's been punched fairly recently and maybe even like his face has been a little manhandled.

Someone please reassure me about what we're allowed to post and/or what's not allowed. This guy is listed as a PREDATOR under FDLE's database.

Dont know if it has been discussed.....but this andy c guy lives on bay circle behind the burned house and I think it is hinky he is so vocal as if he is right next door to the crime tape. Im thinkin the next door neighbors right at the scene of the investigation would be more apt to be interviewed as their houses are right there. He needs to be looked into, as I think Somer was kept somewhere until the workers left that house, and if the workers were swabbed negative then I think it was someone who would know they left and she was brought there afterward........jmo

LIZ - if he's in the database - I'm sure you can post it.
