I am so wanting the person who killed Somer to be caught-I cannot imagine what the community is going through. One thing I do have to say though is how proud I am of all you Websleuthers......how dedicated and caring you are in trying to help solve this-you are amazing to me..and as I read all your posts with all the information I feel less anxious about my own daughter's-knowing that there are vigilant and caring folks out there who will not stop at helping find justice. I am really nervous about this weekend because I have a teenaged daughter who is planning on attending many parties and no matter what her dad and I tell her about being cautious-she seems to blow us off. I think, however, that she really does listen and take heed. We HAVE to talk to our children over and over and over-repeat repeat repeat. Drill into their heads what dangers lurk. Of course we hate to spoil their fun but who cares? We have to instill in them the necessity of being safe. These days I am trying to tell my beloved daughter the importance of a buddy system-and not to wander off alone. I live in terror some nights when she is out-sheer terror and near panic. I absolutely abhor sexual predators-it is a damned good thing I don't carry weapons. I don't know how cops do it-I really don't. Hats off to them. ANyway thanks for listening-I am trying to gear up for this weekend and nerves are raw.

I never saw where it was reported that he did not but was told it was in the beginning and maybe on video. I've yet to see anyone post anything along those lines when the discussion comes up on whether AC (not AT as listed in police report; going off obit) lived with Somer, Diena, AT and ST.

AC is NOT his child. Wonder why he would say " TWO of my other children"--like he had one or more children whom he would leave with their mother? I wonder if he was misquoted by the reporter and actually said, "my two other children" instead of "two of my other children."

Wish I could remember exactly where I heard that AC did not live with his mother, but I know for certain that I did either hear it or read it on this board.

According to Nancy Grace last night, the father of Somer states that he found out Somer was missing at 6:25pm by the police department calling him saying your daughter is missing but we are going to find her.
WHY DIDN'T SOMER'S MOTHER, D, CALL HIM?? I know they are through a divorce but put the pity crap aside and call him immediately!! Sorry my own opinion.
They are still married and they are the parents of Somer.
He states that she was brutally murdered. I know this is a rumor but theres a comment on a article from Jacksonville saying its a rumor but that her fingers were removed. Don't know if anyone else heard that? Eck..I hated to write that.

The police probably asked her not to and they wanted to be first to contact him since he would be a suspect.

He's a painter and may have been at the home for that reason.

Someone may have called the tip line because of his injuries or his home/computer/vehicle/etc. were checked simply because he is an SO in the area and something was found.

I am a first time poster, i've been reading here many years but just joined. With the soot on somer that was mentioned on NG last nite, i was wondering about a costodian worker at the park. I know the parks here have them..where they clean grills and fire pits....they wear uniforms and drive trucks....maybe she went over to park to wait on brother and sister..and was approached by a worker there...in uniform with his truck there...no one would notice that..and he could have put her in the truck and left. Probably le has checked this..but just wondering.

K. Rose was supposed to get 3 years in jail for each count, but served it consecutively- not sure if he stayed the whole time. Required to turn 2 blood samples over to FDLE for their DNA database.

Here's my question- I've only looked at Clay/Duval county records, but if the state requires sex offenders who are convicted in the county to turn over blood samples to FDLE (and not the county), is this a state requirement - where every FL county requires it?

And if it is, LE would have DNA from every sex offender who committed the initial crime in FL. If there was DNA on Somer, wouldn't they just run it against every RSO living/working in her area? How long would that take?

I remember us talking about him, I thought he looked like SP initially. KR is 5'10" 140 according to his registration, do you think it could be the guy you saw? He's not supposed to have any contact with minors...he shouldn't have been at that memorial (if it was him).

Please refresh my memory, re: this Kyle person, initially it was said that he called in to the news station stating he was the last to see Somer alive and reiterated the comment supposedly made by Somer "Nice Renovations" , however this has been retracted , it was the news station reporter that contacted him. Now, is he in fact the assistant to Vinson the contractor @ the empty house on Gano? TIA
