I think a lot of people in that video of the staged abduction weren't sure what was going on but thought it was a case of the girl being naughty.

There was also an elderly woman who was on the phone calling 911. She was smart, knowing that she would not be able to take on the man herself but could get LE there with a description while he was in front of her.

I don't remember who it was here who has told her kids to swear like a sailor if someone tried to abduct them.

But this video is chilling. With a mom's permission they set up an "abduction."

HOURS after running this over and over, three men finally stepped in. (saw third come from vehicle)

Wow, it is amazing to see just how jaded society has become.

That is just disgusting. I can't believe that nobody stepped forward until those two young men. I have to admit that I am somewhat obnoxiously a stepper inner. I figure its always easier to apologize if I'm wrong than it is to live with myself if something tragic happens. I butt in when kids are playing in the road, when they aren't in carseats, etc. Just on safety issues though.

I know those two young men in the video will never read this, but I would love to tell them how great it was that they went to that little girl's rescue after so many others just passed right on by.

The SO EH, was charged in 1978...so my guess is that he has been in jail since the date of incarceration.

He isn't in jail for Schoen's death. His sentence is for abducting a seven year old and taking her out into the woods to live with him. She got away a week later and found her way back by following power lines (this according to an old Websleuths thread).

Jean Schoen's mother still keeps up hope that she is alive.

So I guess us bloggers who live in and around the area aren't taken seriously and are hindering the investigation if we contact the LE with what we feel are leads? I personally am insulted. Because I contacted them regarding the conversation my husband had with the clerk at the gas station... guess I should have kept the information to myself, huh?!? geeezzzee louise .:waitasec:

They want to arrest someone in the family that's what I believe. That's my prediction whether the person did it or not we will never know. Remember Jon Benet. They wanted her parents no matter what.
