Sorry to back track...it's just I wish we could figure this out conclusively, but not sure it can be.

Now this (video) press conference was in the evening or maybe before day break. About 25 seconds in, Beseler says ” … along with some clothing items the child was wearing.” It does sound as if she was fully dressed, but you could still take it the other way. If they could only see the lower extremities & if she was not wearing pants, they wouldn’t know if this was a boy or a girl at that age (which they said could be a boy or girl. Darn, this is a big piece of the puzzle. If this is not a sex crime wouldn’t that narrow down the field considerably? I am thinking of who or how many people would have a motive then to kill a 7 year old? Once the labs come back…I wouldn’t think it should be too difficult for them to prove KWIM?

Wanted to comment on the "under observation" part. If it's someone in jail, and if they're making phone calls, and if LE and the D.A. have specific phone numbers of who they're calling, those calls are being recorded, transcribed, and gone over with a fine-toothed comb for any incriminating evidence.

So it could be someone in jail that they "have under observation." Jail phone calls can provide an amazing amount of evidence.

Point made...I would like to think the perp is already locked up.

But I'm still learning toward the lack of information being due to a juvenile offender.

After searching the house on Gano, they immediately went across the street and searched the restroom in the park?

Does anyone have ANY idea on what led them from the house on Gano straight to that park restroom? I don't have any idea. Would like to hear some of your thoughts as to what it could have been.

It was said they took SOMETHING from that bathroom and were not in there very long.

Only 6 minutes IIRC & I believe they took a bag...guessing garbage.

So he was specifically - like he said -- talking to someone.

Now, remember the LE who ran against the sheriff for CC sheriff? He has a son -- son in trouble and named by girls in Folio Magazine, and in other trouble, and miraculously getting out of trouble -- son was stopped for speeding on night of Monday, October 19. Lived nearby --

Thx for bringing that up again! Haven't checked in awhile, but last time I looked at the court records, that citation hadn't been filed with the court, but the same officer who cited several others at that same location/date had filed the other citations. Makes ya go hmmm...

and, if at the time nothing was said, no one would be linking him to anything, no one would notice bruising, scratches, etc.

Maybe the sheriff is talking to those around him?

Based on what has been said in pressers from early on, I'm inclined to believe she was fully clothed, which is why they had to wait until the ME arrived to verify whether male or female child.

If we go way back to the beginning, and I don't have a photographic mind like some posters who seem to have videos, comments, etc right at their fingertips! Wow! , there were a lot of people searching that night.

I'm sure someone must have gone in that bathroom unless it's locked up at night. Maybe it's locked up when there are no activities.

Does anyone know if it is open all of the time or locked up at times? I think that would be useful info.

My point is that it was a couple of says later that they went to the Gano house and then the bathroom. What could you possibly find after a couple of days?

Someone said a purse like object was removed. Was it put in there after the fact? Maybe that would be a "staging" as someone has theorized?

LE has stated the crime was horrific. Don't ask me where.

The comment about looking for marks on the perp including the head would indicate that there is some evidence of some injury somehow.

So was someone's child all beat up and the parents didn't mention it? They kept the child home from school?

I forget the LE kid's name-was it ATK? It would be great if anyone could find out where he works or if he goes to college. Any ideas on how to do that?

Did CWG have scratches, etc on him? Doesn't look like PC did. Plus, isn't he huge?

Just want to add WLK isn't the only RSO in OP that's been arrested & still sits in jail for failing to register since Somer's disappearance....(ie: see Oct 25 occurance report)

Tho, if what DT's attorney said is true - that someone is under observation - I highly doubt they are watching someone in jail. However, observations may include those considered a possible accomplice or alibi.

Yes - that's the one. He has a court record of previous traffic tickets (including speeding), as well as the felony battery charges that were reduced to a misdemeanor.

But for some odd reason, his speeding citation hadn't been filed with the court (at least last time I looked), but the others that same officer cited that day were all filed.

Actually, no one would know if CWG had scratches, etc., on him because he was supposedly in Texas the whole time, and who would notice/care?

Same goes for ATK -- could have explained the whole thing away BEFORE the sheriff said anything.

That's why I really hope ST does contact LE in Texas and they can verify yes or no if CWG was there in Texas on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

I just had a call from a friend who still lives in Jax -- there was a gang rape one month ago of a woman on Godwin (Riverside) who was riding a bicycle. This didn't come out for a couple of weeks after it happened. Then, an elderly woman was raped in Avondale (near Riverside).

No one, including Somer's school, was informed of the attempted abduction one week earlier.

Does anyone see a problem here?

what about this-are you from OP by any chance and can do a little investigating, like about the bathroom at the park, if there were any activities there the day Somer disappeared, maybe some other non life threatening things that can be asked over the phone?

If they don't tell you what is going on in your community, you CANNOT protect yourself or your children.

I live down just below Sarasota now, but lived in Jax for 15 years - I used to drive on Park and take a right on Kingsley all the time, so I know where it happened, but that's all.

I really tried to raise awareness, as did others, when we found out about the attempted abduction 1 week earlier -- that was a mistake? Why was no one informed, not even the school!!!! CWG on the report was a mistake?

Really - LE in Clay County, Duval County, and Putnam County -- THIS is PROTECTING the public?????

This is starting to remind me of Maddie Clifton --

when I lived in Jax, I could see Maddie's house from my apartments.

The boy who killed Maddie -- does anyone there remember -- used a baseball bat, right? They were actually playing, and something went wrong?

OMG wat, I thought the same thing when I heard about Somer. I do remember Maddie Clifton - and remember Joshua put her body underneath his waterbed & his mom found her? Remember how he helped in the search for Maddie, etc? People think that kids can't keep a secret - remember how long this 14 yr old boy kept his secret? I think he would have gotten away with it if his mom didn't see little Maddie's leg hanging out. Remember Maddie's dad didn't want her playing with Joshua to begin with?

And -- sorry, this is getting to me -- today in Jax they had a Ride for Somer, with all of the proceeds going to Somer's family! NOT to help find missing children -- it had to be almost $70,000.

Yes, Chee - I remember Maddie's dad well, because he worked down the road from where I lived, and I would see him driving home at night. I would see Maddie's mother at Dollar Tree. I heard that they broke up after all of this --

Her father had to have had a sense, but kids . . . taught to be nice, so even if they have a sense, try to overcome it. IMO

Yes, that is a great fact!!! Thanks for reminding me about that. I think that is an important one.

Not that you'd be happy that your child is wandering around, once again, by why have a breakdown this time?

I've wondered if Somer had gotten into trouble for her wandering off from the siblings after school or for arguing. That could account for the houseguest saying to wait a bit before calling the mom. Maybe she wanted to be called when Somer did this. If Somer had been grounded or promised to not to do it anymore, that could have really alarmed Diena when she didn't follow right behind or in front of the other kids.
