There's nothing uncomfortable about JH behind bars for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 - rightfully so!

What's UNCOMFORTABLE is the idea that he could be a scapegoat for Somer's murder.

Just to be clear: Scapegoating is the practice of singling out one child, employee or member of a group of peers for unmerited negative treatment or blame for something they did not do. Related concepts include frameup, whipping boy and fall guy.

I'm waiting for the FACTS to be presented before I get comfortable...

I feel far more comfortable thinking they got the right guy for the murder of Somer and he will be charged then I have felt about anyone that has been researched or discussed to this date.

I do admit my prejudice on it though, I figured it would be someone just like this guy. I even thought a shed might be involved.

Steven Jay Hatfill (born October 24, 1953) is an American physician, virologist and bio-weapons expert. The US Department of Justice identified the former government scientist as a "person of interest" in its investigation of the 2001 anthrax attacks. FBI raids on his home were well-attended by journalists and, consequently, several news outlets speculated that Hatfill was at one time the likely suspect for the attacks. He later sued the government for ruining his reputation, a case which the government settled for US$5.8 million.[1] Investigators later announced that the anthrax attacks had been carried out by another government scientist, Bruce Edwards Ivins, who they concluded had acted alone.

Yeah, that poor guy. They even ran over his foot. Tim Masters in CO just won a judgment for millions, too. But this is also proving my point that people can be falsely accused. I wonder why they announced his being a POI to the media at all? Why not just wait until they've arrested him for murder?

I think I'm more nervous than uncomfortable. I want Somer's murderer to be caught. If Jarred is the guy, I want the evidence against him to be air tight.

  • #385
I think they announced it because they are sure they have him.
I think they are wrapping up the evidence on him as we speak and looking forward to him arriving in Florida.

You did???? That is impressive for an old FBI agent who sleeps on benches. lol
I never thought about a shed before, but it makes sense IMO.

It would make sense why LE was able to clear the RSO's so quickly back in the beginning

He had no criminal record.
The 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 was found in August.
Somer was abducted and murdered in October.
He was allowed to abscond to Mississippi.

That indicates that he was not a person of interest.

In the most recent "Nightline" interview, the reporter was talking about how Somer, as had been reported, ran off from her sister following an argument. The reporter said:
"Do you think it was rare that she would have broken off like that?"

The response was: ""...completely, COMPLETELY rare. I don't know anything about it if (they've) done that."

Does anybody think that ___________ (J.H.), having been seen smoking cigarettes outside when the children walked home from school, would have seen Somer running off other times, or do you think it was an unusual incident?

Well, voluntarily or not, he will surely be swabbed once he is brought back to the county to answer for the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges.

Outside & possibly close to the last known whereabouts of Somer around the time children were walking home from school on the afternoon of October 19th - so say about 3ish?

Does anybody know if Attorney Freed (the LE liason who has been absent lately) is still working with LE? Is there possibly a child trafficking component to this recent arrest?
I haven't been here in a while and have been unsuccessfully trying to find links to this area. I have been following reports, but haven't been able to discuss things here.

What are your thoughts on ___________J.H. being involved in child trafficking? If LE had their eye on him, as has been suggested, maybe THAT'S why they recommended Freed? Or are there any other persons in Somer's life - associates, etc., who could have been involved in unscrupulous activities that we have not heard of? Where would we begin to look? TIA

Yes I see your point, I weigh what he would have to gain by naming him a POI vs what he could lose by naming him a POI.

I think the sheriff would have far more to lose by naming him a POI without enough strong evidence to bring charges and a conviction then he would have to gain by naming him POI with no evidence.

I mean what would he gain a few months at the most of a feel good from the community if this guy was not the right person?

Now what would he gain by naming this guy a POI before charges but he knows the DNA came back postive and it is most likely the guy who killed her.

I guess I just don't see any real advantage for the sheriff either way and he has far more to lose then win.

Gosh, sorry...I must not have made myself clear. I wanted to know if there had been possibly any OTHER DAYS AND TIMES ________ might have seen Somer running off...that he might have had an idea where she might go, does that make sense? Sorry if I wasn't clear. I just want this to be solved, and I feel frustrated and depressed that so far they have not come up with any documented evidence that would point them directly to a person with a clear-cut motive, etc., or tell us if she had been sexually abused, etc. And not even the mother knowing. Wondering what could have happened.
