Yeah, a rug would tell a story and they will be able to tell if it has been in his trunk when the test come back.

  • #962
Sometimes rugs have a tag on the underside also. Could give clue as to where it was purchased or sold.

  • #963
And I would think if there is a said rug, there would be a wealth of things to test on it. Dog drool, pee, shedding, human dna, cleaning fluids, etc.

Crocus, you make me want to drag out the steam cleaner and go on a cleaning frenzy.

Fibers from the carpet in the trunk or floor of the car, dog hairs, dog drool (as mentioned above), skin cells or fibers under Somer's nails or in a body cavity, stomach contents at autopsy, time of death...so many things to nail a person with. Let's hope they can do it.

I would think carrying a carpet rolled up with a dead body in it would be very difficult - I'm not sure it relies on strength, but on a sense of balance. Right?

LOL makes me glad I now have kittens! Just the litter box to worry about.

Somer was not that big, and I think actually that carrying a body that size in a carpet would be easier than carrying a body that size without.

I'm basing that on my own personal struggle with moving my sleeping 45 pound daughter to her bed.

LOL! I have one of those Bissell Carpet Steamer cleaners.....I was just thinking I'll get mine out tomorrow and get my living room done.

Sorry.....O/T

JH is a big guy. I agree, carrying a body (uggggh I hate even saying that) in a rug would be easier to balance on the shoulder. Plus, gives some sort of cover if anyone were to see him carrying it, like who would think there was a body in it?

OK THIS is good to know...thanks for that!

Was there a FOUNDATION set up for Stacy?

I will go look for answers and leave the floor for rugs.

ETA: sorry to interrupt the convo.

There goes a brave soul, I salute her.

I'll be interested in what Dr. F. hears back about the reporter's comments about Somer being found in a rug.

We know JH was living in the house on Gano alone at the time Somer was murdered and thrown in the trash. When his parents moved, did anyone see moving trucks? Or was there still furniture in the house? He had to sleep and eat somewhere. Why would anybody stay in an empty house? And without his 🤬🤬🤬🤬, can you imagine how lonely he must have been? just rambling

I felt the ick factor when I was typing too.

I agree that the balancing would be easier and that someone coming out of the house with a carpet (especially a house people had been moving from) may not have even been noticed ... but that now with the arrest of JH, people may realize they saw something they had written off as nothing before (like someone throwing a carpet in a dumpster).

He probably just backed the car into the garage and put her in the trunk.

BBM

I don't think we know he was there on October 19-20, do we?

As far as what his parents took, I would think there was less room for furniture in the doublewide trailer than in the house, so it is possible that there was still furniture in the house.

Especially since they didn't have to move everything out.

Do we know how long he was staying in his parent's empty house? Was it a long enough period that could potentially send his perversions into overdrive without his computer?

I'm not sure I am wording this right or if I am coming across sensibly?

That's right, there was a one-car attached garage. There would have to be a door leading into it from inside the house. For some reason, I have a very difficult time picturing JH living alone. MOO

Pretty sure his parents moved out a couple weeks prior to Somer's murder. I'd have to look at Noway's time-line to see how long he had been without his computer, maybe since August. JH may have had a flash drive or an external drive or had access to a computer at his mom's place.

Yes, it's been mentioned that being without his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 could very well have been the trigger for him to attack. Good point!

If he had a cell phone, he may have had access to the Internet and therefore access to 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Yeah.....I am still wondering about his mind set as to the computer he left behind at the apartment he was kicked out of. Was he worried? Or did they issue him an ultimatum such as "pay for the iPod you took or return it and you can get your PC back"?
