No news today on JH? I guess that mini document dump was meant to last enquiring minds for a while huh?

Hey All, I am back! I am still alive - the big guy is not ready for me yet! Thank you for your kind words and prayers!!! Still not feeling right but hope to get to the bottom of it soon.

Well I think we can all agree that sadly the internet is a treasure trove for child predators, of course. I am not sure what you mean by "I rest my case", though? Did you see inappropriate pictures of Somer on the internet????

I don't know how to answer this. :waitasec:

Can we use a hypothetical situation? And can we keep it hypothetical? Please? I do not want to break TOS in any manner.

Search Dogs Follow Scent, Used Bedsheets

10/21/09 5 p.m. Report

The report on the dog was aired after they had found Somer's body. I don't know when it was first reported that they had found her, but know they found her around 3:30.

Which one? Above or below? ;)

Lol lol lol lol lol

IIRC the story about the dog was after they found Somer's body.

And I think the Sheriff knew that it wasn't typical of Somer to run off and stay away for so long. He said (paraphrased) in one of his early interviews (she had a slight history of running off but there was no reason to think that is what happened in this case).

There weren't dogs out the first day? IDK

Also, DT called at 4:00 wondering if the kids were home. So 4:00 would not be unusual, apparently, even though it appears that 3:10 would be a normal coming home time.

OMG! Above I hope I have done enough acts of kindness in my life to make it there - I am not a malicious person of any kind - so I think I can make up top! :woohoo:

I think there were dogs out the first night ... the Sheriff commented on them being the best in FL.

(ETA: Beseler said deputies had been out all night using infrared cameras and dog teams to search the wooded areas. Beseler said they have also finished interviewing all the registered sex offenders in the area. Tuesday morning, teams were continuing to search the wooded areas within the one-mile radius. http://www.news4jax.com/news/21342995/detail.html ... the video is at jax.com/video/21344324/index.html but if that link does not work, go to the article link and scroll down to see the video link)

4 p.m. may have been the first chance Diena had to call since she was at work. Maybe she was waiting so that her older son had a chance to get home too?

Great job Granny!!!!! Those pics make it so much clearer in my head.

I LOVE the justice for Somer sign on JH's garage. Good thinking by whomever put it there.

Amen to all this!

NSC, I'm glad you're still with us!

I know this sounds horrid, but should this thread titile have a "found" in it?? I was scanning for new ones tonight and that struck me.

In the beginning they LE might have thought with her history that she had run off to parts unknown, So why wouldn't they tell the public where they tracked her to?

At least people could concentrate on search areas. Since they had no clue what happened to her in the beginning, I don't see what being tight lipped would get them.

I hope that JH is their guy or there still is a child killer out there . Of course, there are lots of them out there. I just mean the one that did Somer.

The Clay County Sheriffs Special Ops coordinated with Texas Equusearch on a map each section to be search. Teams were given a map and an assigned area. We had to full out a new sheet with team members names everytime we went out to search. Everything is broken down in grids so no area is not covered. We come in and Team Leader is debriefed, take a short break get another area map an head bak out with another team, The only ones allowed to search that day was Texas Equusearch as Team Leaders with the Navy personel. It was a controlled search so as to not miss any area. Tim Miller with TES said of all the searches he has done (over 1000) this was the best organized search he had seen and the rest of the county shoud learn from CCSD how to conduct a search.

I have to comment on the sign on JH garage door. It was so good to see someone had put that large sign there. I doubt that JH family would dare take it down. Can you imagine the stir that would cause. It was beautiful to see that sign!! Gives you goosebumps!

I am all for Justice for Somer..but I am not sure that this new fad of putting stuff on perp's famly garage doors is good at all....

Now we see a painted garage door in the case of that poor gal in California....someone painted on the perps parents' house..

I think it is a bad fad...first it was "ribbons"..then teddy bears...now deface the property of relatives of a perp?? what next?

It could be dangerous too...one of these "perp families" may retaliate..someone could get hurt...I remember the crowds in front of the Anthony house ...that was scary

It also is really NOT fair to the neighbors who had nothing to do with this...I can see how things might escalate

People need to use their heads.....if they want to "do "something, how about working to pass laws, strengthen laws....sign petitions...call and write lawmakers....get active...volunteer. Maybe there could have been a volunteer after school service to watch kids like Somer so they don't have to walk home alone...maybe people could petition school board and city for after school programs...

much better than a sign like that

Sherlock, I hope your feeling better and all is well with you.

Granny L, thanks for the pictures, they are wonderful,,,

Do you have any idea what that block shed is in picture 17?

If Somer was at Debarry and Gano, how do you think that JH would fit in then? That appears to be the reports. She was at Debarry and Gano.

This is all very confusing.

Good morning Human...

Are the reports you are talking about the fact that the dog lost her scent at Debarry and Gano? If so, it was explained in the video of the trainer. She said that scent could have been from up to a week prior. IDK

I guess also you could say JH could have been at the intersection of Gano an Debarry in his car. Could've seen Somer alone and asked her to go with him to find his puppy. Just a possibility IMO.

Just because he lived at that house on Gano, does not mean he had to adbuct her there. KWIM

From what I've seen, and from what LE has said and not said, I think JH is the guy.

Great pictures GRANNYL! Thank-you for taking the time and sharing them with us all!

I thought for sure they would have charged him in Somer's case by now. It seems odd they would publicly name him a POI in the case without some kind of evidence - kwim? If they have the evidence, then why not charge him? I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster ride with the CCSO - sometimes it appears as though they are doing a fabulous job and other times not so good...

I think they are in no rush. He's not going anywhere.
