The attorney for Treacy said the teen is in a bad emotional state, distraught, and hasn't grasped what happened.
"He is for lack of a better word a mess right now, he hasn't really understood the entire concept of what is going on," said attorney Russell Williams, who said he's seeking out mental health professionals for the teen.

Huh, Treacy sure seemed to grasp the situation when he was sitting in the principals office texting his friends that he was probably going to jail because he had just almost killed a girl. IMO the only thing Treacy is not "grasping" is that he is not going to get off with just a slap on the wrist but is looking at doing serious jail time because of what he did. JMO

Thank God, Yay Josie. You keep going girl!

Reading the articles, it seems obvious to me that a private attorney took over from the P.D. for Treacy, and immediately launched a publicity campaign for him to garner public sympathy.

It didn't work on me. He's an animal. Lock him up and throw away the key and I'd be happy never to hear another word about him.

Now the important stuff -

How's our Josie this morning? How's her poor Mom doing?

snip~Since the day of the attack, Gotay said her life has changed. Everyday she goes to the hospital where she says a rosary to her daughter before beginning a series of range of motion exercises on her legs. She says she constantly talks to her daughter, hoping that Josie is comforted by her mother's voice.

"I talk to her, say funny things to her, trying to get her to respond to me, trying to get her to hold my hand," Gotay.

When she goes home at night, Gotay says she crawls into bed and cries as she prays to God to bring her daughter back to her just the way she was when she went to school the day of the attack. She says her biggest fear is that she doesn't know how Josie will be when she emerges from her coma, will she remember the things she's done and be able to do them again. ~ end

more~ On April 28th, she's scheduled for surgery. Doctors will replace a portion of the right side of her skull which was removed during a craniotomy to relieve pressure on her brain.

Much more at above link. I was looking for the video of the press conference with Josie's Mom this morning, did anyone see it? TIA

I am so glad that Josie has such a wonderful, devoted mother who has stayed by her side and encouraged her and talked to her the whole time. The pigtails brought tears to my eyes. I just saw an interview with her this morning on Today. Not sure whether it has been posted here or not. Her poor mother is still such a wreck. My heart really goes out to her.
