For the DT

My nerves couldn't handle the afternoon session. What happened? Did CM give someone the bird? Is it postable here?

Just curious, as I really wouldn't expect that out of our ol' boy CM. JB yes, but CM not so much.

I hope someone caught it and he's sanctioned heavily!

MOO

Mel

I didn't see what Mason did but apparently Bill Schaeffer did - and he commented on his post hearing blurb that it was directed towards the prosecution and he had never in how every many years ever seen a lawyer behave that way in the courtroom. Just referred to as an obscene gesture.

Regarding the Red Bull.....

There is a time and place for Red Bull, the courtroom is NOT it. If JB is so drained that he requires a Red Bull to perform....then perhaps a physical and some B vitamins are in order.

Red Bull has been linked to erratic behavior and hyperactivity. The courtroom is the LAST place you want to see that. Friday, he was literally unable to sit down, pacing, clicking, and overly argumentative.

He was above his usual level of energy. The snark was far more pronounced.

I don't doubt that he is working harder than ever before, but drinking Red Bull by the case is going to hurt him not help him.

Like any stimulant, Red Bull gives you a false "high". Sure it's legal, but it's not always warranted. The arrogance JB demonstrated by pouring his beverage under the table while the Judge entered the courtroom was not only rude...but IMO indicitive that his need for a "fix" was a more powerful pull than following protocol.

It does not go unnoticed by me that this is the SAME day as the heated energy in the courtroom. When one guest at the party is amped up....it takes the entire room to another level.

NO, I do not consider the hearing to be a party.......just offering an analogy.

JB......a party is where a Red Bull fits in...like a lampshade on the head. Neither of which are appropriate in a courtroom.

You are absolutely right...but ...but...:blowkiss:

Oh Dear. I . was . trying . to . make . joke. but :whoosh:

Maybe ICA could bring one of her stickers to cover the "RED".:floorlaugh:

I know a lot of posters don't feel that we need to be aiding in ICA's defense, but there is another way to look at this. When the jury hands down a guilty verdict, we all want that verdict to stick. With the way this circus has been playing ICA could totally get a new trial based on "inaffective counsel". That's the last thing we all want, right? With that said, I want the jury to see the way ICA looked when she was "living the good life". Maybe not exactly the same way, but a lot closer than she is now. Now we have a frumpy woman who would do well to get a date, not the hottie that went clubbing every night while her beautiful child was missing. I want this jury to get the full CA picture!

Au contraire mon fraire. I think ICA has been represented quite well and it has taken a chunk of change to do so. Any one of us could be so lucky as to have had the experts that ICA has/had. I can't even remember how many high priced/powered attorneys she has had the good fortune to represent her with all of their combined years of experience and knowledge. ICA has sat in on all of the hearings and motions and not once has she informed the court that she has any concerns whatsoever about her counsel. I think she has had more opportunity for effective counsel than most of us, so I just don't think that dog is gonna hunt.
I do agree with the frumpy part!

Okay enough hints from me for the Defense - I'm off to watch A Touch Of Frost...way more amusing than the DT. :seeya:

I know this is has probably been said hundreds of times, but I don't think JB clicks his pen often enough. :)

PS- I just listened to all of Vass' testimony and I wanted to scream. So seriously, can I make a suggestion or two...get some fidget toys...oh and there is also a small flex ball...the kind that helps to build muscles.

Just for FUN....

The Tie Bar offers custom tie and pocket square orders. In a pinch...they have next day shipping. But the best news of all...they have a "Tie of the Month" club.

Sleuther, your comparison to Scott D. brings up something funny (funny oddball, not funny haha) that happened when we were watching the K's the other day...My hubby never watches, but he caught a glimpse when me and my daughter were. He saw Scott and immediately, having never even watched it, hubby blurts out "That guy's a total d%^che!"

Madam, you were spot on with the comparison , and my better half's metaphor comes immediately to mind!

I have never served on a jury and do not even think I would be able to handle it if the trickery I see at these hearings happen. I can barely contain myself when this defense team does it's thing. I find myself yelling at the laptop and my family probably thinks I am a loon. Just wanted to thank you for your post. You have most certainly eased the minds of many here with the information you have provided about jurors reactions.

While we are at it, tell ICA the American Flag belongs in a courtroom not draped around a no clothes naked murderess. JMHO, etc.

Maybe it time to gather all your attorneys together, take a trip to the jail and tell KC the truth. She's come to the end of the hallway. jmo

OMG---I WAS THINKIN THE SAME THANG.

THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN CHANGE TO HELP HER. BUT U CAN SUR HELP URSELF.

What do you think will happen to you after this trial? Are you going to be famous? I dont think so/ JB---you will be remembered as a smart A$$ with the smirk. CM will be remembered as the whinny old man. That poor old woman lawyer is the only one who has been trying to keep all you guys together. she reminds me of a nursery school teacher trying to get e-body back in their chairs to finish coloring your page to take to the mom---or a mama hen trying to gather her chicks under her wings so the dog won't eat em up.

As for the strawberry blond---haven't formed an opinion of her yet. Doubt if this case will affect her at all.

You other guys ought to at least try to save yourselves. Ya'll haven't really impressed anybody yet. Better buckle down and get ready for a ruff time if you want a life after this trial.

I am not trying to be nasty here at all. You really ought to talk her into pleading (if you can still have it) because she is goin down. Look at how she has affected e-body she has contact with. Seems to me that she goes down and she will take e-body she can--->>>her mother & daddy and u guys---ya'll b next---mark my word.

Take a look at all those lives she has affected---her baby girl who fought her way out of her womb---only to be thrown to the side of the road in trash bags like trash---ur next bubba. Not ur death but ur career is hardly breathing right now

Yes, she has. There is so much truth to your comment but, IMO JB would be the first to argue, "Oh, no.....we're going to prove she's innocent". I can't decide if the DT is dangerous to their client's well-being because they are inept or because they are genuinely trying to save her but have "nothing" to work with but her lies.

You're right lambchop, take the words to the jail... "the truth shall set you free" because once she gets to the end of the hallway in the State of Florida legal system, it's on a table with leather straps.

I haven't read this thread yet, but I in no way want to help out the DT or the Defendant. But...for the sake of playing along....
1. Please let JB keep on doing like he is doing, and CM too. The jury will LOVE them.
2. Let your client's hair down. Literally. Let it flow around her shoulders and face. Let her stroke it and love it and show exactly how self asorbed she is. The jury will LOVE her.
3. Give your client a mountain of binders and post it notes. Promote her from the imagined position of paralegal, to attorney. Lead attorney. She deserves it. She works so hard. The jury will LOVE her and see that she certainly is capable of holding down a job. And you never know, the jury might make the leap that Imagiattorney=Imaginanny. It just might work.
4. Please make Cindy and George your star witnesses. Let them go on and on and on while testifying. Believe me, the jury will ABSOLUTELY LOVE them.

In my opinion, the DT is doing a bang up job to get their client exactly what she deserves. Keep us the good work!

Perfect, just perfect. No one could say it better, Mamabear.

Ask for LWOP and hope some day you get a pardon. Even life on the outside now for KC would be a living he**. She has literally thrown her life away along with her child's. KC would have no where to go because everyone knows who she is. And she was afraid of those few protesters who were out in front of her house. Now it would be much worse, unbearable I would think. jmo

My only comment to the Defense would be that if you got your client off on a technicality or due to lies in court, how do you think millions of people will think of you? You will be hated by people with morals and loved by people who don't care about the truth. You may think that if you get KC off that you must be a heck of a lawyer, but what it would really mean is that you helped an obviously dysfunctional family lie, and do whatever they had to do to get a murderer home. You will have helped the memory of an adorable two year old get lost in your quest to boast your ego. Caylee Marie Anthony does not deserve to have an injustice do to your quest to be infamous.
