For those who agree with the verdict...help me understand.

Or you could maybe think instead of it being a bad thing, remember how much Caylee loved it and all the fun times they had in it. Why do people keep their dead childrens rooms intact for years, etc?

I am glad I don't have to know why...

The part I was referring to specifically talks about expert testimonies. Expert testimonies aren't people who go on the stand to just LIE for whatever team they're on. They're experts in their field.

And, in your own definition posted it does say specifically if there is contradictory testimonies, you must find that the state didn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt. (I don't recall the word for word, but it was in the definition provided).

I never posted any such definition and there is no such wording that says if there is contradictory testimony you must find the state didn't prove reasoanble doubt...if that were the case we wouldn't have a single person convicted of a crime in this country.

I understand that there was not much evidence of a murder. It washed away over the six months that Caylee lay rotting in the woods.

My point is, there are a few posts/posters that keep mentioning that there is evidence of a drowning. THERE IS NONE.

My point is... there is NO EVIDENCE of a drowning. So, why do many keep insisting that there is???

I see what you mean.. you are right, there was not evidence of a drowning. I maybe what they are saying was that is could just as possibley been a drowning as it could have been a murder, or any other accident or cause of death. Since JB brought into the mix another possiblity of death, it showed the jury that something else could have happened. They still don't have to believe the drowning theory to acquit her, it just gave them reasonable doubt as to if a murder actually occurred or even aggravated child abuse or negligent child abuse. IF they don't know what happened both sides (the DT and the SA) just presented theories..they would have to find her not guilty.

sorry, but you are way off on this. For those of us here that have followed this case since July 16, 2008, read hundreds of pages of depositions, reviewed thousands of pages of evidence, listened to hours and hours of hearings, motions, etc. and the fact that many of us WS here have legal backgrounds and the knowledge of how to apply the law....this is insulting.

You just made my point. You followed the case for years. I bet you even formed an opinion on guilt prior to the start of the trial. You were naturally going to give the prosecution's evidence more weight as it supported your prior opinion.

As far as legal backgrounds and knowledge of how to apply the law, there are MANY who have "legal experience" and the knowledge of how to apply the law who agree with the verdict.

I did not insult anyone. Actually, I showed an understanding why people do not understand that verdict without any personal attack. That same understanding is not shown to the jurors or those who agree with the verdict.

To me, its more logical that Casey was not watching her daughter and she died as a result of getting into the pool, then it is for me to believe that Casey was behind closed doors a mad scientist who was making batches of chloroform to knock out Caylee. Once search two months prior just is not enough, coupled with she was broke and no one ever came forward and say she used to spend lots of times in the school science lab as a youth.

Keeping rooms intact as a memorial is a good thing. Brings back good memories. But if my child died in a bunk bed accident I would not keep bed. It would be removed. What memories would the bed bring to mind?

To pull a lifeless blue child's body out of a pool would bring trauma and shock. The pool no longer serves any positive use. It only brings back a day that will live in your mind forever.

Is it logical to assume no child has ever died in their room and the parents kept it intact?

I didn't say that. Twisting words does nothing for the conversation.

But if a child died in a pool, those "happy" memories would be kinda out done by the fact the child DIED there don't you think???

I see what you are saying, but its not Caseys call to tear the pool out. You have to find a way to keep on living I suppose. And you really need a pool in Florida. I would not be shocked to hear they leave the house soon, I doubt Casey will ever go back to that house as well, and for whatever reasons we just dont know.

I had formed an opinion of guilt prior to the trial, but during the trial my opinion changed. I kept thinking, where is the evidence? At the end of the trial I had definately decided that I would have had to come back with not guilty.

I have a paralegal degree and background. I know how to read the jury instructions and apply the law. I still come out with a not guilty.

I understand that, but once again a logic human being in the highest profile case, knows that 1st degree murder was being considered, and usually they know it could result in death, not that this somehow has anything to do with the lack of evidence the State brought forward to try to kill her.

I believe Mr. Ashton was on-point when he told the court that the SA's office does not wish to kill anyone-They are tasked to bring those charges if their investigation merits it and they have sufficient evidence to bring before a jury so that a jury can consider that punishment in penalty phase. They are elected officials and this is what their consituents expect of them, and I believe they do it in good faith.
Do you believe their investigation (not their trial case) yielded to the threshold needed to bring those charges? If not, do you believe they brought those charges in bad faith?
If HHJP made the DP decision for the jury, that is not on the state-the state advocates for the people. If the jury did not have the evidence they needed to consider this a first degree murder, then the jury (nor the judge) will not kill her.

Ok, well kids die by falling from chairs or beds and weird stuff all the time, does that mean every family whose kid dies in a freak accident leaves the house the accident occurs? I am not twisting, just pointing out that just because someone isnt grieving to other peoples standards or does not do what you think they should do, and what they should throw out, well, everyone is different and acts different, thats just logic.

No and she would not even care to ask. She was busy drinking and dancing and "looking" for Caylee.

No way, this thought is giving me goose bumps. I lost a friend in a drowning accident. Revisiting the place he drowned does not bring back "happy" memories. The human mind does not work the way your thinking. Shocking horific events tend to put a damper on pleasant memories imo.

I think the moment Nancy heard "chloroform" she ran with it like a bull in a china shop and tainted the world. Seriously, air from aired out trunk that was in touch with cleaning products, was used to prove she used chloroform to kill the child, even though an FBI guy said the levels were consistent with cleaning products, I have a huge problem with that just in general.

Everyone deals with things differently. I had friends that had a toddler that got strangled in the cord from the window blinds. They did not remove the blinds, and they were devastated by the loss of their child.

After watching GA and CA for 3 years, I can say they would have torn that pool down as soon as they found out Caylee drowned in it.

No matter what others think of GA and CA, their love for Caylee is clear. They worshiped that child.
They lived for her.

It is my opinion, they would never keep a huge reminder of Caylee's death in their back yard.

Well, I am sorry she did not handle herself the way she should have, I am sure that finding her precious dead child dead in the pool didn't mentally effect her at all. I bet Casey is the first person ever on the planet to act out. Also, one night out at fusion, really isn't an accurate representation of a chronic party girl. Had the state had 31 nights of partying, that could have been different, at least that would support the fact she killed her child to party.

Really need a pool in Florida...!! Oh my. I think if my child drowned in a pool 10 feet from my house, the thought of realing needing a pool in Florida would be the last thought in my mind.

Huh???
I agree with you.

How am I thinking?

Well, yes, thats your personal choice, but not everyone is the same and shares the same thinking process.
