His words are utterly worthless in this world.

I don’t think he sees women as autonomous individuals. Or even as human.

He felt he had the right to do whatever to his wife because she was ‘his’. He gave permission to the rapists he invited into their home because she was ‘his’ property and so the only consent needed was his. And now he’s apologizing to one of the rapists because he… feels bad for him?

I definitely don’t have words to describe this man, or at least ones the Moderators wouldn’t censor.

There is something contradictory in this story, though. He always insisted on men wearing no perfume and their hands being warm. Not to wake Gisele. Truck drivers smell of gas and they are at work. Was Gisele so deeply sedated that Dominique didn't care? And what did he ask from trucksters in payment? He always did: a video, own sex, or drugs.

The biggest problem is not him. The true problem is that the men who raped Gisele thought it was OK because her husband OK'ed it. That still some comments from the other men in France are of the type, "they had sex with an old woman with her husband's consent, what's the big deal?" This is why there such a huge movement in support of Gisele. "Chemical submission is not consent".
For all of us, because it is knowledge.

Truck stops are also places with laundry and shower facilities where truckers sleep overnight during rest time. So I don’t think it’s impossible, and by his own admission that was what he had gone there intending to do. JMO.

Agreed. I found it quite shocking how many of the men felt just his consent was needed. I think we saw some statistics about overall attitudes about that topic in France in another post (or maybe other social media following this case, my memory is terrible lol) but I can’t find it now. But wow.

Of the 51 rapists on trial, 4 others went on to do the same to their partners. One of the 4 had Pelicot rape his partner too.

And I’m not even sure if they’re done putting each man on trial yet. How many more of these pieces of trash did this?
