I’m okay with that.

''According to forensic psychiatrist Dr Sohom Das: 'The most obvious traits of someone who would carry out this type of attack are callousness and lack of empathy.
'So that is basically being able to harm somebody else without feeling remorse.'
He added: 'Another trait is narcissism. So these kind of perpetrators, they have this sense of entitlement, of lack of empathy.'
Referencing the Monster of Avignon case, he said the perpetrator treated his victim as 'basically an object for sexual gratification, as opposed to an actual human being'.
'Another trait would be impulsivity,' he said.
'I mean, sometimes these things are planned to a degree, but sometimes it's just kind of striking at the moment.
'Manipulation and deceit is another fairly obvious one - using manipulation to gain the trust of the victims in the first place.'
Dr Das added: 'People that indulge in sexual assault tend to be anti social and engage in risky behaviours, including other forms of violence, as well as, for example, illicit drug use.''

There should be more. He enjoyed watching other men rape his unconscious wife. He punished her for not being interested in threesomes or swinging.

Wondering now if this guy ever spent time outside of France? speculation, imo.

From link..
''Prosecution documents allege that husband 'Dominique P.' urged his wife's rapists not to wear condoms. A doctor has also revealed the woman in her sixties had contracted four venereal diseases and suffered gynaecological problems.

Meanwhile, Dominique P. has also been charged with raping and murdering a 23-year-old estate agent in Paris in 1991. A second estate agent said she had been attacked in Paris eight years later and investigative sources say an e-fit of the suspect in both cases 'bears a strong resemblance' to Dominique.

As prosecutors also prepare to bring the case involving his wife to trial next year, evidence is said to show how the couple's eldest daughter was also filmed unconscious in her underwear, and alleged abuses against other family members.''

Dominique P. was indicted for the murder of a woman in 1991 - which he denies - and the attempted rape of another in 1999. This E-FIT based on witness testimonies in the 1999 case was said to 'bear a strong resemblance' to Dominique P
How did this disguisting human get away with this for so long? Did none of the men realise that what they were doing was literally a crime? Did they have any morals or values? Probably not, just thinking with their genitals

"Horrifying rise of somnophilia:
Britain's 'Monster of Avignon' drug rape cases -
and why men attacking their unconscious wives for 'sadistic pleasure'
is far more common than anyone realises.

'It's about power and control
and kind of dominating somebody,
as opposed to [having a] happy, consensual sexual experience'."

I wonder, why no physician got an idea, why poor Giselle may have suffered from her many symptoms of illness.

As the owner of the nearest place to the court where you can get a decent coffee, Youssef is used to serving some unsavoury characters. Yet he has found the past ten weeks singularly unsettling.

“Frankly, they give me goosebumps,” he said, describing how most days the same five defendants converged on his café, for morning espressos and lunchtime beers. With so many men taking the stand, it became necessary to split them into groups for cross-examination, causing unlikely cliques to form

“I try not to listen to them, but when I do, all I hear is, ‘Yes, OK, we had sex with her, but we’re not rapists’. Sometimes I feel like recording them,” Youssef said. “I’ve asked them, can you imagine if your wife drugged you and invited men round? They didn’t answer me.”

The physicians probably didn’t put two and two together and figure it out because it is unimaginable that a husband would drug his wife and allow/encourage men to rape her. It’s just not something a doctor would even think of as the cause of her illnesses IMO.

To what Dotta? They could see her Illnesses and symptoms, but why would this particular cause even enter their minds? It was unheard of (until now). And of course, Giselle didn’t know she was being raped, so she couldn’t give accurate information to her doctor. I need to go back and read because I don’t remember what the doctor came up with as a reason for her sicknesses. I hope s/he didn’t accuse Giselle of anything. Thanks to Giselle allowing the trial to be public, doctors should be aware now to suspect such an unimaginable cause. Now their eyes will be wide open.

There are professions which require special abilities to discern red flags:
Police officers, doctors/medical staff, teachers, Social workers.

He set her up. He KNEW she would not be interested in threesomes or swinging. It's not as if his wife was a new girlfriend he was getting to know and testing boundaries - he knew his wife and knew she would turn that idea down. He asked to her in the first place to humiliate her and then he gave himself the excuse to punish her without her knowledge.

But, really, I think it was punishment for the affair she had decades ago. Probably more to it than that, I realize, but the kernel of resentment about that affair is there, imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had been doing sneaky stuff to her ever since the affair. Maybe not have men rape her, but other things that degraded her whether she knew it or not.

This guy seems to be a sexual pervert - a voyeur.
Watching turns him on.
I guess these threesomes were all about watching.

incorrect. dogs deserve love, care, and respect. this man will die like a mosquito: harmful, annoying, unwanted, and possibly carrying diseases.

Wtf?

One of the defendants, Jean-Pierre Maréchal, 63, has become known as Dominique’s “disciple”, having drugged his own wife and raped or attempted to rape her at least a dozen times with Dominique between 2015 and 2020.

Maréchal’s wife told investigators that she did not want to press charges as a civil complainant against Dominique or her husband, the father of her five teenage and adult children, because he had always been a good father and husband. She said that she was very shocked and had difficulty attributing the facts of the case to him.

Does anyone remember seeing the quote about how her gynecologist just gave her a "wink, wink" kinda reaction along the lines of "well, look how wild you are at your age, having so much sex to have infections" and possibly inferring (and condoning) that her husband was having affairs and passing the infections along to her?
