Frank Bonner, Herb Tarlek on WKRP in Cincinnati, Dies at 79

Frank Bonner, famous for playing Herb Tarlek on the TV sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati," has died ... TMZ has learned.

Frank died Wednesday as a result of complications from Lewy body dementia ... according to his family. We're told his loved ones are heartbroken, and they were with him when he passed away peacefully.

Herb Tarlek was the epitome of smarmy because Frank Bonner played him perfectly. Dementia is a tragic end. Lewy body dementia is not kind. Rest in Peace, Mr. Bonner. I will always remember you with fondness.

Omg that was awesome I loved that show!! I have small memories of my dad being involved w local radio and tv when he took us to the stations and always loved this show because of what I knew happened behind the scenes. Every character was great!

Robin Williams also died from Lewy Body Dementia. I believe that the paranoia and depression caused by this horrific disease led him to end his life.
