Ok Peeps!

Seems the discussion is getting a little to heated.

Stop! Now!

The murdered toddler is a victim. His mom and dad are victims. End of story.

I'll be back in awhile. If this bickering continues, I'll lock the thread.

thanks,
fran

Stop it now!

This thread isn't about anything except Antonio Santiago, 13 months old shot dead in his stroller on a Thursday morning in March, 2013.

There are two teenagers in custody and they're innocent until proven guilty. Therefore they're alleged shooters.

The accused shooter's families and the victim's family, are all victims of this crime as well. Please post accordingly.

It may be a good time for some posters to review the information provided at the below link.

I've already removed several posts from today so if you don't see your earlier post, please don't repost it.

Now let's keep the thread on topic, about sweet baby Antonio.

TIA for your cooperation,
fran

These are the rules of the road on the thread until the Mods or Admin state otherwise. It is pretty straight forward.

I don't the fault the Mom for wanting to leave ASAP.

What's that saying,
No witness, no crime.

Yes that would be a major concern. The DA will prosecute regardless BUT if people are willing to shoot a baby in the face, or willing to make death threats to PROTECT someone that would shoot a baby in the face obviously they are extremely dangerous loose canons.

As far as the mother giving away the toys etc....She went through this pain 5 years ago, she could very easily be terrified and in denial over the being back in that place and trying to avoid that.

When I was in high school my best friends older sister died following a seizure (epileptic). Her mother was utterly devastated, they had four daughters and lots of pictures in the house, the mother had every photo of her lost daughter taken down for a year because she couldn't bare to look the pictures.

I have had a similar grief reaction once or twice, pictures and other things would be like salt in an open wound. I can absolutely understand why the mother may want to pack up/give away the baby items and get the heck out of there.

BBM - loose cannons? I heard someone say, on a video, that "they", whoever "they" are, lost a part of their community. I assumed because of the arrest, but I may be wrong, someone will correct me if I am. What really scares the hell out of me is so many are willing to cover and threaten for these loose cannons, while I've read so many posts wanting to create doubt about the mother of the murdered baby.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a gang issue, and one needs to look at who makes up these gangs, right here, right now. Is this the future of America, where people can't speak the truth? If so, I hope it isn't your child or grandchild who gets shot the next time 'cause everyone is afraid to call it what it is.

my opinion only

Did anyone find the article stating that De'Marquise's "other aunt" (not KF) took him someplace, thought he was acting odd, and called the police? Where did you find that info? tia

It was on the news4jax local news ill see if I can find an article, it was actual then other kids aunt. Heard it again this morning, and listen more closely to what she was saying. She was actually talking to the 14 yr her nephew, asking if he the accused shooter had anything to do with killing the baby.

The couple on Long Island that were killed by a hit and run driver earlier this month were buried the same day.

The couple were Hasidic Jews - the quick burial was for religious reasons.

Just my two cents

I don't care what Sherry did that day or the day, week, year before. I don't care if she drank a beer and took a shot of jack and smoked a joint before she left for the post office that day or where ever else she was going that day.
I don't care what she does from this moment forward.
What i do care about is that the two males that have been arrested for the horrendous murder of that sweet little innocent boy are sent to jail, prison for the rest of the shooters life, and the 14 yr old will probably get out at 21. I bet he will be in the news again, and not for being a good citizen. jmo

They have been in South Florida since at least the 1980's when I was a kid. These gangs are everywhere. Crips, Bloods, Folk, Latin Kings etc.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

....MS 13, LA Familia etc, generally they tend to target other rival gangs not shooting babies in the face, I don't understand how that really makes you a big tough 🤬🤬🤬🤬 , it reminds me of those hunters that sit in those deer chairs they have total advantage not very sporting, eh?

You're right. There is nothing negligent in strolling your baby on a walk, so it doesn't matter what mom did in her whole LIFE prior to that moment. I think it's cruel for the father to ask her why she walked that route that day , as if anything she did could have altered the outcome. She just can't get a break. I hope he's apologized for that. :(

I'm hoping they will arrest whoever threatened the aunt of the one teen.
Why do people stand up for these ? I understand the ' don't rat out your friends' type of thinking, but when is one guy's behavior so bad that he's no longer your ' friend' ? If it's not after shooting a baby, then when is it?

I know what I think, but I'd get a time out if I said it in plain English.

Im just not quite there yet Trident and I'm not sure why :fence:

These boys may be guilty as sin but...Why in the world was that baby cremated so quickly? A thorough investigation needs to be done.

If the ME/Coroner/LE has released the body, the family/mother is free to do whatever they/she needs/wants to do. It has nothing to do with the defense - I mean, how many times are murder victims buried before there are even arrests? The info in the ME/Coroner reports are enough for any defense attorneys to work with.

No reason for her to not cremate; and it's not our place to judge.

Not everyone does. There are good and bad and all in between in every group/walk of life. There are people that step above their affiliations and follow their conscience. See the above post.

ETA: The above post has been removed but was a Facebook page screenshot from DE's wall, where a close family friend of the accused confronted him with changing his story. Said he posted on her wall that he'd been with the aunt Wednesday, not Thursday as the authorities were told.

Not sure why that got deleted, but could be because of evidence issues.

Well no matter what, "they" are victims too ya know? They are the greatest victims of all! "They" lost 2 members of their community. Always victims even when shooting sleeping babies in the face.

And apparently "they" have a lot of supporters even here on WS that see them as "victims" and only want to blame the mother, cause...well...cause who else can they blame? Not the shooters! Someone is at fault here and it can't be the perps....so it must be the mother!

Pretty messed up that.

I find this another example of "affiliational" thinking. Broad generalizations and labeling are more a product of emotional response than clear thinking.

Why must one OR the other always be at complete fault in a crime? Why must there be an obvious Evil vs. a sainted Good? Why can't things be real when discussing people and what they do? Why must we always retreat to black and white thinking (no pun intended)?

Raising questions about all aspects of a crime is not about casting aspersions on a person--it's about digging for the truth, willingly setting aside ALL prejudices in order to do so with an open mind, no matter where that takes us. What is Good is capable of standing up to scrutiny, and what is Bad will then be brought to light.

*gets off soapbox*

He will have his day in court, then he will have to deal with prison, if memory has not failed me and things have not changed he will have a tough row to hoe.

A sleeping baby in a stroller was shot between the eyes and had his brains blown out intentionally.

Please explain the "gray moral area" to me. Please explain how it isn't right or wrong, but it is all about perception.

Please explain your point. I am sure the alleged shooter seemed quite human and normal when socializing and not shooting babies in the face. He seemed like a nice kid!
