Ok, so bringing forward this photo since its one of the few things we have right now, what can we determine from this pic? Where/when was it taken? What kind of jacket is that? Vehicle/buildings in bg? What does that say on his hat ("Team something Tree") etc, etc.

I wonder if they have talked to his wife yet.

I'm sure its one of the first things they did, then again you never know....last I saw the NFL investigators hadn't even interviewed Tom Brady yet...

The hat has a Team Realtree logo on it. Very popular camo brand. The jacket is probably Realtree as well.
Those are pecan trees in the background. Several pecan trees and outbuildings are visible on the aerial photo of the Co Rd 217 property (Webb Cemetery Rd) property.

I cannot read the words on his hat - but the background looks like many properties in S. Ga. - those appear to be large pecan trees and the 2 storage or out buildings on the property. My grandfather's farm had 6 or 7 larger buildings like these for storing farm equipment and things. There is a dark (gray?) pick up truck (older model) parked by one of the buildings. It appears he is leaning on a van or station wagon with the luggage rack on the top - does not appear to be a truck.

Here is another question. If he has no criminal record - where did the "mug shot" looking photo come from? The one without a hat - with the longer blond hair and facial hair? It sure looks like a mug shot to me - not a school photo or a family photo. What do you think?

Bud placed a "wanted" ad on CL for a Mustang. I thought maybe in his ad he might have mentioned he was looking for a car like he had in high school, but apparently not. In case the ad hasn't been posted:

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/wan/4854409074.html

And by googling the number in the listing, Bud's name, address, charity and other classified ads are easily found. :(

BBM.
Driver's License? Or if he's a truck driver (the "big truck" references made me wonder), maybe the photo was for a CDL?

Sometimes driver's license photos look like mugshots...!

Also -- could he have been arrested at some point but never convicted of anything?

So, if we take into account the "pinging south" of McRae, and the Webb Cemetery property, what king of triangulation visual do we have? (Looking at this now)

Remember folks, if he is web savvy enough to look at CL ads, he could likely be web savvy enough to be reading here.

So, where is this cemetery exactly...

(Posts re: the pecan trees reminds me of some of Foxfire's posts in other threads re: victims being buried at/near cemeteries, along fences lined with trees...a certain kind of tree, can't remember what he/she said, but its supposedly common with serial killers).

(Eta: I'm surprised Foxfire hasn't joined us yet...he/she was very active in the Dermond's thread iirc)

Well, he should stand out in a crowd -- sounds like a pretty big guy. From your link:

I'm going to go ahead and say this, and it disgusts me to say it, but when I first saw his picture, I thought, not a bad looking guy, doesn't look like a killer imo..but we all know killers come in all kinds of shapes and sizes from creepy like Richard Ramirez and to Ted Bundy.

Don't feel bad. I thought that about HG's killer until the very end. He really looked harmless to me (like many of my college friends), even though I should know better.

I'm pretty sure those are evergreen trees (cedar) that Foxfire was referring to.

(Glad to see this case is getting a lot of media attention...more newstations have picked up the story including the Washington Post and USA Today (no new info as of yet that I've seen).

Eta: NBC News has also picked up their story.
