Yes, that appears to be her mother from the video that was just posted saying mother was taken in for questioning.

Baby was found in a blanket in the woods. So tragic.

Given this outcome, I can only hope that what happened was accidental (suffocation through bed sharing, etc) and the parents panicked and hid her. Nothing will bring this baby back but to think of intentional harm being committed on a 2 week old infant that leads to death is almost unbearable.

At this point, I only hope that maybe dad was alone with Caliyah and something happened that mom didn't know about. I thought that at some point I read her initial report to police was that she couldn't find baby or dad but I couldn't find it again when I was searching for a link.

Maybe you are right. I'm just a little blinded by anger for all these poor kids whose parents are hurting them, and all the waste of police resources that happen as parents try to cover up what horrible things they have done to their own kids.

I'm not even a kid person. I like my kids with four legs and furry. I think that if I ever did have kids (not gonna happen, but), I would be a very strict, stern parent, but it would never even cross my mind to do anything like this.

I am so freaking angry. How can someone kill a baby?!? And then leave the poor thing in the woods like garbage? It's sickening. The killer is garbage. Not the innocent little baby.

I will not be shocked to find out if drugs are involved in some way or another.

Also will not be surprised if baby died from malnutrition.

I guess we shall see.
