This is the footage from the field trip .. but only shows the judge and the attorneys. Edited to say .. not sure if this is the same day that the jurors took their field trip but it was posted 3 days ago.

Yes, the jurors took the field trip that day. Their faces are never shown publicly. The news crew was taken on the route the jurors went on.

I think she is guilty but the state didn’t consistently show that. Crucial points were not stressed to the jury.

Today the question is still being asked about why Scott deleted the video by people who followed the trial. That confirms that the state didn’t do their job.

There is alot of discussion about Melody not being able to move the body. I would have raised the theory early on that she could have hired someone to do it.

They didn’t take the opportunity to elaborate on the critical details.
Scott testified about why he erased the videos. The state did their job. They also were able to get the deleted video, and there was nothing of consequence. Plus, electronic evidence shows Scott wasn’t anywhere near the burnpile at the relevant time. So, yep, they covered it 3 ways. There wasn’t any other form of evidence that they could have shown.

Game cameras have very short memory and they have to be erased regularly.

I see a lot of internet chat on the livestreams where people obviously haven’t watched the whole trial. Also, a lot of trolls.

Was there enough blood on the Kubota and the shoes to confirm it was Gary’s?
Don't know if true, but CourtTV said the blood on the Kubota was Melody's blood. Some of the blood droplets inside the house were not even tested! Most agree the investigation was lacking.

For me, the fact that a small amount of blood is found anywhere on the property or tractor is not convincing. They lived there for years, at some point someone gets cut and bleeds a little, big deal. Especially when working around farm equipment.

SF testified to being bitten on the hand by a rat snake on 7-2 and photo of the bite showed bleeding. He remembers washing the bite but says he did not go to the house to put iodine on it like MF told him to.

Thank goodnes, Melody didn’t manipulate him into the house. She was setting him up.

He is the one that said he didn't go into the house for iodine. It would have made sense to wash the wound and then apply an antibiotic of some kind but he says he didn't apply any. Strange. JMOO

Interesting. The burn pile seemed closer to the house than what I imagined. We have 3 burn pile areas on 27acres and none so close to other trees, seems risky if it would normally be used often and depending on how large the fire was, JMO..

The bar is "reasonable doubt", not "no doubt".
It does bother me that it is taking so long for the jury to decide the verdict. Like I said before I knew nothing about this case before I just started from watching the testimony on youtube, probably on day 4, but I think the prosecution covered it very well. Especially the closing that wrapped it up in clear chronological order for me. The defense attys irritated me, neither very professionel or thorough. The judge irritated me, but of course as a juror I would not see all of his antics like someone watching the live stream of everything.
At first I thought one of the sons did it but after all I've seen, and knowing nothing before and having seen no publicity about the case, just watching and seeing the evidence, I believe she did it. She had motive, means and oportunity. We don't know the timing of GF was when he was shot the first time, maybe he did run out the door and she chased him. The burn pile was closer to the house than what I imagined. The data, gps and geofencing showed me that no one else was at the house that night but GF and MWF.
Sometimes it is what MWF didn't do. She postponed her granddaughters visit to stay over the first night right after the girls got in town. As a grandmother that wouldn't happen and I think the girls were even surprised at that. Did anyone mention if they saw her cry ever?? In her interview with Hayes on the 5th did she once act like she cared at all that Gary was dead?? It was always deflecting to someone else or something else over and over. Nervous chatter.
She was busy on the telephone with RB that night, more so than their previous history indicated. She told RB that GF was on the burn pile and then they both tried to walk that back and cover that up. It shows for just a minute that maybe even she was surprised that she had really done it and had to tell someone. RB is as disgusting as she is.
People have been found guilty on less evidence. I hope the jury finds her guilty, even a lesser charge that puts her away for a long time. All JMO

This case caught my attention when I saw on CTV that Gary Farris was the founder of Burr & Forman in Atlanta. Prior to my retirement, I was in RE Law and we had an office in Atlanta which means I had some involvement with that Atlanta firm.

I knew nothing about this case prior to watching on TV. At the end of the day, just seems there are still too many questions for me to vote guilty.

I keep wondering what MF meant when she told Rusty the body should not have been burned that badly. To me, that sounded like she had knowledge but not full knowledge and she is blaming someone else for burning the body, as if that was not agreed to beforehand. If not Scott, then who?

There were cameras there?? I suppose they were placed quite a distance away.

No, I meant that the talking heads on CTV were talking about the jurors being on a field trip to the house.

Thank you! I wasn't watching CTV and missed this.

I've been curious about the strong scent of citronella at the burn pile. I know it's a mosquito repellent but interesting that the smell was quite noticeable. I also know it was reported that an accelerant wasn't used. I can't remember if anything else significant was found in the burn pile. Maybe it means nothing but I found it a bit curious.

Between the brothers, I found Scott more believable on the stand than Chris. And, why would Scott go to these measures to kill his father when he (Scott) wasn't the beneficiary of Gary's life insurance.

I think the information Rusty gave during interviews with LE demonstrate that he (Rusty) knew MWF killed Gary... and she outright told him Gary was on the burn pile. (Despite his recanting of that aspect the day or so after her arrest)

Bbm - I think she was caught off guard by how close to being completely incinerated his body was, especially since she hadn’t used any accelerants to help start the fire. Her intention was for his body to be discovered for insurance reasons, but she wanted it to appear as though Gary had suffered some kind of medical emergency and accidentally fallen into the fire. Thankfully, the bullet found in his ribs undermined her plan, otherwise it might have been convincing.

IMO.

I agree.
The tour of the property was interesting. And I was also interested that they all walked down beside the house, walking right beside the patio doors from the basement (within a couple of feet). And it was all downhill from there to the burn pile. I think Melody dragged him out those patio doors and use the Kubota to drag him the rest of the way.

I recall the testimony about the cameras and it makes perfect sense. I’m just surprised that there were some people (attorneys) on CTV asking about it. People on the Red forum were asking but most of that is curiosity versus watching the entire trial.

Yes, the burn pile is in trees...Nonsensical. But it might also be closer to the neighbor's house than the Farrises' house.

I'm wagering the burn pile was put where it is because the prevailing winds don't send smoke towards the house. And that's exactly why no one smelled anything the night Gary was pyre-ed up.

IMO the attorneys want something to talk about, 'cos they have a lot of competition on YT and can't be bothered to watch the whole trial. So, they picked something off the chat.

Very plausible...

IMO he ran out the door to the neighbors and basically collapsed near the burn pile. How convenient! She wouldn't have had to do any dragging, just scooping.

In a conversation with Rusty, she talks about how they couldn't find any blood (to convict her) even with all that luminol. Very damning conversation: only a perp would say this. But I don't think Gary was bleeding extensively in the house. IMO just droplets that Melody mostly cleaned up (she missed spots).
