30-year-old 'endangered' woman with disabilities missing from East Point since May

A national nonprofit is shining light on a months-long search to find a woman with a disability who left her dad's East Point home in May, and hasn't been seen since.

"Destiney has been missing for seven months, and I'm just reaching out to the community because she has health issues and I would really like the community to pitch in and find her so we can get her back home," said Erica Gunnison (mom.) She asked that her face not be shown because she fears there was foul play in her daughter's disappearance and fears for her own safety.

Destiney is 5-feet-5-inches tall, has black hair and brown eyes. Her mother said she has the mental capacity of a child and has seizures which she requires medication for. She also walks with a slight twist and has a light tick at times.

Noting that NamUs states her hair style at the time was described as a mini afro so her photo would not accurately depict her look.

East Point is just outside of Atlanta, not far at all, maybe a 15 minute drive. Hoping she is safe somewhere in GA.

It has been my experience that when someone has that many social media accounts, they have been in and out of some sort of a facility. Could be jail, could be rehab, could be a mental hospital, could be anything really- but what happens is that they surrender their phone on entry, for some reason can't get it back, and then simply make a new account rather than try to remember the password/recover the old one. Makes me wonder if they've checked those types of facilities. (Source: My husband's cousin struggles terribly with drugs, and we know she's been released when we get another friend request from her.) MOO OMO

What do yall think of Destiney potentially being this 5'3", 275lbs UID with a mini afro from Roswell GA? She claimed to have been homeless so was hanging around an ER waiting room and then had a witnessed cardiac arrest. The history would fit. It is hard to find clear photos of Destiney to compare.
The UID doesn't have an age range. She may? have some grey hairs around the hairline but it's hard to tell.

Georgia county and district court files aren't available for searching online for free that I can find (Peachcourt dot com implies you can search all court records but it can't, pretty much superior courts only, and their search function will often pull up anyone with anything even close to the spelling (i.e. anyone with "son" in their last name, in this case, which makes searching pretty useless).

Destiney's Mom not wanting to show her face as she fears for her safety is troubling and makes me think there's more backstory here than what has been released to the public.

At a glance, perhaps, but I doubt Destiney could have gained 70 pounds in less than six months, especially if homeless. But that is assuming the weight provided when she went missing in May was correct.

The weight of the decedant was measured not estimated.
